Football Bet of the Day

Following on from Sunday’s half-winner in China on Sunday, The Football Bet of the Day returns on Friday and sees me head to the Danish Superliga, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

⚽️ Randers vs Brondby

🇩🇰 Superliga

⏰ Friday 25 April, 18:00

Brondby will look to move within one point of leaders Copenhagen in the Danish Superliga table on Friday night as they travel to the Randers Stadium to take on Randers in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.

Rasmus Bertelsen’s hosts have fired in 49 goals across their opening 27 Danish Superliga fixtures this term, with 25 (51%) of them coming in front of their supporters.

The Horses have failed to score in just one of their home matches this season and four across all venues, notching on multiple occasions in 16/27 (59%) of them – including in six of their last seven – and will be confident of breaching a Brondby defence that has kept just one clean sheet across their previous 10 away matches, shipping 21 goals.

Frederik Birk’s visitors are the leading scorers in the Danish top flight, slamming in 52 goals across their opening 27 matches, with an impressive 29 (56%) of them coming on their travels.

The boys from Vestegnen have found the back of the net in all bar one of their opening 13 away matches in the league, striking 2+ goals in 10 (77%) of them – including in each of their previous six – and should be more than capable of breaching a Randers defence that has kept just five clean sheets in the league this season, with four (80%) of them coming against the bottom three.

Bet of the Day

Randers’s opening 27 fixtures in the Danish top-flight this season have averaged an eye-catching 3.30 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score landing in 19 (70%) of them – including in each of their last five on home soil – whilst six of their past seven and eight of their previous 11 have seen a minimum of three goals.

Brondby’s opening 13 Superliga fixtures on their travels this campaign have averaged an eye-watering 4.08 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in 10 (77%) of them, whilst eight of their last 10 have produced goals at both ends.

What’s more, their previous three encounters this season have averaged a staggering 5.67 goals per game – with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals landing on each occasion (2-2, 4-2 & 4-3) – and I’m expecting the goals to flow between these two sides once again on Friday.
