After making it three winners on the bounce in Hangzhou on Thursday, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me remain in the Chinese Super League, and once more, I have a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.
⚽️ Qingdao West Coast vs Meizhou Hakka
🇨🇳 Super League
⏰ Friday 2 May, 12:00
Two clubs separated only by goal difference in the Chinese Super League table meet at The Guzhenkou University City Sports Center at Friday lunchtime as mid-table pair Qingdao West Coast and Meizhou Hakka face off in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Shao Jiayi’s hosts have fired in 16 goals across their opening eight contests in the Chinese top flight this campaign, with 10 (63%) of them coming on home soil.
Qingdao West Coast have made the net bulge in each of their previous 11 Chinese Super League clashes on home soil – firing 2+ goals in eight (73%) of them – and will be confident of breaching a Meizhou Hakka defence that has recorded a solitary shutout across their previous 13 Super League contests on their travels, shipping multiple goals in 11 (85%) of them.
Milan Ristic’s visitors have slammed in 18 goals across their opening nine Chinese Super League fixtures this season, with six (33%) of them coming on their travels.
The Wuhua-based club have found the back of the net in each of their opening nine league outings – notching on multiple occasions in six (67%) of them – and will look to find the target once again against a Qingdao West Coast defence that has kept just two clean sheets across their previous 15 Chinese Super League contests on home soil, shipping 2+ goals in nine (60%) of them.
Bet of the Day
Qingdao West Coast’s opening eight Chinese Super League contests this campaign have averaged a joint league-high 4.00 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in six (75%) of them – whilst six (75%) have also seen both teams get on the scoresheet.
Meizhou Hakka’s opening nine Chinese Super League fixtures this season have averaged a whopping 3.78 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in eight (89%) of them, whilst eight (89%) have also seen both teams oblige.
What’s more, these two sides played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the corresponding fixture last season, and I’m hoping we see a similarly high-scoring encounter in Qingdao on Friday.
- Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals
- Pays 10/11 (William Hill)
