Football Bet of the Day: Back Bundesliga Strikes in the Black Forest on Saturday

Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the German Bundesliga, and there is one fixture in particular that has caught my eye for goals.

RB Leipzig will look to continue their push towards Champions League qualification as they travel to the Europa-Park Stadion to take on fellow European hopefuls Freiburg in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.

Christian Streich’s hosts have scored 30 goals across their opening 23 Bundesliga fixtures this term, with 20 (67%) of them coming in front of their supporters. The Breisgau Brazilians have found the back of the net in 12/13 (92%) of their Bundesliga contests on home soil – scoring on multiple occasions in nine of their last 12 – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again on home turf against a Leipzig defence without a clean sheet across their previous 10 Bundesliga road trips, shipping multiple goals in six (60%) of them.

Marco Rose’s visitors are the fourth-highest scorers in the Bundesliga, banging in 60 goals across their opening 27 matches, with 28 (47%) of them coming on their travels. Die Roten Bullen have made the net bulge in 12/13 (92%) of their road trips – scoring two or more in eight (62%) of them – and will look to find the target once again on their travels against a Freiburg defence that’s registered just two clean sheets across their last eight Bundesliga in front of their supporters, shipping multiple goals in each of their previous five.

RB Leipzig’s opening 13 Bundesliga fixtures on their travels this campaign are averaging an eye-catching 3.85 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals banking in nine (69%) of them, including in seven of their last eight – and given the same has landed in each of Freiburg’s previous five Bundesliga contests on home soil – I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of three goals in the Black Forest tomorrow afternoon, with both of these high-scoring sides getting on the scoresheet.
