THERE are two games in the English Premier League as well as a titanic League Cup semi-final clash between Celtic and Rangers.
I've made my thoughts clear on the Old Firm game and in the Premier League I have to fancy home wins for Arsenal and Southampton.
Here's some team news that may help you make your picks.
Celtic v Rangers
Celtic boss Ronny Deila only has Charlie Mulgrew missing. The Scotland midfielder is out with a long-term knee injury. Stefan Johansen has stitches in a cut above his eye but will be okay while winger Aleksandar Tonev is available again after finishing a seven-game suspension.
Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni will miss out as the Tunisia international remains on African Nations Cup duty with his country. Goalkeeper Cammy Bell (shoulder) is still injured.
Arsenal v Aston Villa
Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez (hamstring) is doubtful while new signing Gabriel Paulista could make the squad after joining from Villarreal. England striker Danny Welbeck (thigh) is close to a return but may not be risked, while midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (groin) is also expected to come into contention ahead of the north London derby at Spurs next weekend. Midfielders Jack Wilshere (ankle), Mikel Arteta (ankle) and Abou Diaby (calf) are all still out as is full-back Mathieu Debuchy (shoulder).
Scott Sinclair is likely to go straight into Aston Villa's squad after joining on loan from Manchester City. The winger will train with the side on Saturday before boss Paul Lambert makes a final decision on his inclusion. Forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has recovered from a hamstring injury while Joe Cole (also hamstring) is training but not yet fit. Defenders Ron Vlaar (knee) and Philippe Senderos (calf) both remain out.
Southampton v Swansea
Sadio Mane and Maya Yoshida will return for Southampton after international duty. Shane Long (ribs), Toby Alderweireld, Victor Wanyama (both hamstring) and Morgan Schneiderlin (adductor) are unavailable due to injury. Sam Gallagher and Jay Rodriguez remain long-term absentees, while Emmanuel Mayuka is also injured.
Saints midfielder Jack Cork is set to become a Swansea player before the game but he will not be involved after completing his £3million move from Southampton. Swansea are without suspended pair Gylfi Sigurdsson and Kyle Bartley following their FA Cup red cards at Blackburn last weekend. But skipper Ashley Williams has recovered from a shoulder problem and Neil Taylor will return after being rested, while Jefferson Montero is in contention to start after marking his comeback from hamstring trouble with a substitute's appearance at Blackburn.
Well Ipswich let the bet down after I’d changed my mind and put spurs and city double chance… Good win for my boys today though mr f… COYB
Gutted about Moshni :)
Had a giggle at all the naysayers after I’d finished watching the toffees. Looking at Arsenal and Southampton to finish off a five fold from today (LFC,MU,Stoke). COYB.
A lot of people wer backing palace today I had faith we would win rpc… Although not a convincing win but a win none the less mate…. One person even stated that palace would not lose today and everton are going 1 way… Guessing he was a rudolf haha :)
Dale-well done with then. It seemed like you were up against it the whole match. See you next week.
Oh dear….you couldn’t make it up I tell yer…..Mr F can you make a new thread for these 2 bitters…’ Everton win a game thread’…..shouldn’t worry about it been a regular post mind.
Being a Saints fan for 30+ years all the signs point towards Southampton not beating Swansea 6/5 on Betfair. I’m afraid all my prices will be from Betfair because South Korea blocks all the other gambling websites. This one must have slipped through.
The fact that Swansea are now missing their goal scorers and Ki means, by the law of sod, they’ll snatched a 1-0 win or get a draw. Unders ahoy!
