In this article, we have provided our Fantasy Premier League tips & predictions ahead of Gameweek 30 of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.
The English top flight returns after an FA Cup weekend and the international break, with a number of juicy games to look forward to including the Merseyside derby as Liverpool play host to Everton at Anfield.
Nonetheless, here are our latest FPL tips that should hopefully help make all of those informed transfer, chip and captaincy decisions needed ahead of the deadline…
Our Fantasy Premier League tips
FPL gives out points based on player performances, which can be both positive and negative. It can range from a player scoring a goal (positions are given more points than others, for example a defender will gain six points for scoring a goal as opposed to four for a forward) or being shown a yellow card (-1pt), as well as many other metrics.
Who to have as FPL captain
In Gameweek 30, if you own him, Liverpool and Egypt international winger Mohamed Salah is perhaps the most viable option for captaincy this week, given his exceptional scoring season in FPL where he has already broken his own record points total.
However, for those who do not own Salah or want to pick a differential captain, Alexander Isak (£9.3m) could be a nice option as Newcastle United welcome Brentford to St. James' Park, pumped after their 2-1 win against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final that saw the North East club lift its first major trophy in 70 years.

Should the triple-captain chip be used?
Assuming that Salah is the most viable captain choice in Gameweek 30, using the triple-captain chip on him could seem very tempting given his irresistible form so far in the 2024/25 campaign.
However, we would always advise, if it has not been used already, to use the chip in a double gameweek, where teams play more than one fixture and therefore give more of a chance of a big points haul for the captain.
Who is likely to get booked?
Antoine Semenyo (£5.7m) is just one of a number of players from AFC Bournemouth that look attractive in the game at the moment, as the Cherries have a favourable set of fixtures on paper coming up, including hosting lowly Ipswich Town at the Vitality Stadium.
However, FPL managers should be warned that the midfielder has been booked a total of nine times already in the 2024/25 campaign so far, among the highest in the Premier League, and just one more would see him serve a two-match suspension.
Market-best odds on Antoine Semenyo to be booked: 22/5
Which defender is most likely to score?
Josko Gvardiol (£6.0m) is currently the Premier League's top-scoring defender with a total of five goals to his name so far in the 2024/25 campaign. Manchester City have a fairly nice run of fixtures on paper coming up, and the Croatia international could add to his tally at the Etihad Stadium when relegation-threatened Leicester City come to town.
Market-best odds on Josko Gvardiol to score anytime: 6/1
Our top three cheap in-form players
Ismaila Sarr
Ismaila Sarr (£5.7m) has recorded not one, but two double-digit hauls in a row in the past two gameweeks, as Crystal Palace visit rock-bottom Southampton at St. Mary's Stadium buoyed by reaching the semi-final of the Carabao Cup after beating fellow London-based Premier League rivals Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage. Sarr's price is considered fairly cheap in FPL, and the midfielder could certainly fill his boots against the Saints.
Anthony Elanga
Anthony Elanga (£5.3m) is another fairly cheap midfield option in FPL, and could also be worth buying off the back of his 16-pointer against Ipswich last time out. Nottingham Forest will welcome bottom-half Manchester United to the City Ground next, where Elanga could well thrive on the pitch again against his former club.
Kieran Trippier
Kieran Trippier (£5.6m) should start for Newcastle for the foreseeable future given the long-term injury to fellow English full-back Lewis Hall, and Newcastle have some favourable fixtures on paper coming up including the visit of Brentford. It should also be noted that the Magpies, as well as Palace, have a bonus fixture in Gameweek 32, so loading up on their assets like Trippier who provides an extra set-piece threat would be a wise move in order to try and maximise points potential.
