With the summer calendar in full swing, there are another array of race cards in the United Kingdom and Ireland on Thursday.
A small selection of them, offered by BoyleSports, will be providing extra places, with MFT bringing you the lowdown on those races here.
Carlisle 2:10
The bookmakers have this 13-horse race – with four places on offer – as a battle between Havana Rum (5/2) and Wichahpi (7/2), but punters will be more tempted to look for better value down the card.
Mister Sky Blue at 11/1 feels like the bet to be targeting. Despite fourth here over 6f in June, it was partially down to being held up at the rear, and there has been a consistency about his performances this year, with four top-five finishes from five outings since April.
Newmarket 3:00
Despite Double Rush being a 4/1 favourite, Prince of India looks a solid bet here at 6/1 with five places on offer.
The hotter weather and harder ground should suit, with one victory and one place coming from similar conditions, while there will be plenty of interest in Crestofdistinction at 15/2 who has excelled on the all-weather but needs to showcase that ability on the grass.
Newbury 6:35
This 15-runner race with five places is completely wide open with seven horses 10/1 or shorter. Thunderous Love is going to get plenty of attention with three wins from the last five starts, the only failure to place coming when being held up at the start at Salisbury in May.
Rage of Thunder at 6/1 also comes into the race in imperious form, defying a poor start last time out to win by nearly three lengths, and those appear to be the obvious choices here.
Leopardstown 6:45
With five places on offer for this 21-horse race, punters should probably look for value down the card with Ferrybank at 11/1 a 2024 course and distance winner as well as finishing third out of 16 at this venue last time out.
Finsceal Annie, at 13/2, is targeting a third win in succession, but those two victories have come at 7f, as opposed to the mile that this race is being run over.
