The English football season is nearing the end, and although the title race and relegation battle are already over in the Premier League, the EFL has come to the rescue.
The final two rounds of the season will shape who makes the playoffs and who goes down in all three EFL divisions, and there is still the small matter of the Champions League qualification up for grabs in the top flight.
With plenty of clubs now in a do-or-die situation, draws really aren't on the agenda. However, that doesn't mean to say they won't happen.
With our football pools tips this weekend, we're looking to accumulate the most points based on the scoring system below:
- Score draw: 3 points
- No-score draw (0-0): 2 points
- Home or away win: 1 point

Brighton vs West Ham (Premier League)
On Saturday afternoon, it's Brighton vs West Ham in a match between two teams who are playing for absolutely nothing. Brighton have seen their European hopes fade away in recent weeks, while West Ham have been stuck between 13th and 17th all season.
The Seagulls have perhaps been guilty of drawing too many matches this season, with 12 to their name from 33 Premier League matches. West Ham, meanwhile, have drawn three of their last five matches as they desperately search for a rare win.
Liverpool vs Tottenham (Premier League)
Picking Liverpool vs Tottenham as a football pools tip this week isn't based on recent form or history between the two clubs, but rather on circumstances.
After Arsenal drew with Crystal Palace in the week, Liverpool only need a point to secure a record-equalling 20th league title in front of their home fans. Considering they were unable to celebrate their last title properly due to Covid, they will happily settle for a point here to ensure the party can start at Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds are far superior to Spurs so they will effectively be able to dictate this result, if they so wish.
Hull City vs Derby County (Championship)
Hull City vs Derby County is a huge match at the bottom of the Championship with both clubs occupying the two positions closest to the drop zone.
Hull City come into this one knowing that a draw would be enough to ensure they go into the final week of the season with their fate in their own hands so they would snap your hand off for a point. Derby, meanwhile, will be in the same boat if Luton fail to win away at Coventry, so this could quite easily turn into one of the cagey matches of the season.
QPR vs Burnley (Championship)
QPR have managed to steer themselves clear of relegation in recent weeks, and they can now enjoy the final two matches of the season without any pressure on their shoulders. Burnley, meanwhile, have been partying all week after securing promotion, so the gulf between the two teams won't be as big on Saturday as the league title suggests.
Between them, these two teams have combined for a total of 30 draws this season, so another one here wouldn't exactly be a shock. The Hoops, in particular, have been drawing their fair share of matches recently, with three coming in their last seven games.
Cardiff City vs West Brom (Championship)
Cardiff City take on West Brom this weekend, and the hosts will be desperate for a win given that they are currently three points from safety.
Unfortunately for the Welsh side, they can't seem to do better than draws, with three coming from their last five Championship matches. To make matters worse, they are playing a West Brom side that have drawn a whopping 18 league matches this season.
