  • Score draw: 3 points
  • No-score draw (0-0): 2 points

Our expert football pools betting tips

Aston Villa vs Ipswich (Premier League)

On Saturday afternoon, it's Aston Villa vs Ipswich and if this one plays out anything like the first encounter between the two teams this season, then we could be in for a classic. On that occasion, the two teams played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at Portman Road and we are backing another score draw on Saturday.

Aston Villa have drawn two of their last three matches in the Premier League and are struggling to find wins regularly. Meanwhile, Ipswich haven't won any of their last five Premier League matches so it's unlikely that they will have enough to walk away with anything more than a point.

Fulham vs Nottingham Forest (Premier League)

The match between Fulham and Nottingham Forest is one of the most intriguing matches of the weekend as it puts together two teams who are performing better than expected this season.

There is every chance that the two teams cancel each other out, which often happens at Craven Cottage. Only Brighton have drawn more games at home than Fulham this season while Nottingham Forest have drawn two of their last five matches in all competitions.

Preston vs Burnley (Championship)

It's a preview of the FA Cup quarter-final this weekend in the Championship as Preston take on Burnley and by now, we all know what to expect when Scott Parker's Burnley take to the field.

The Clarets are on track to smash the Championship defensive record and have conceded just nine league goals all season, so don't expect a score draw here. However, a goalless draw is definitely on the cards, as five of Burnley's last nine league matches have finished by this scoreline.

Preston are no strangers to draws, either. The Lilywhites have drawn 13 league matches this season with only West Brom recording more.

Millwall vs West Brom (Championship)

Another Championship fixture that has a draw written all over it this weekend is Millwall vs West Brom. As just mentioned, West Brom are the king of draws in the Championship and average nearly one every other match. They haven't drawn any of their last five so they are certainly due one.

Millwall are another team that have drawn plenty of matches this season, with ten to their name. Their recent record against West Brom only compounds the evidence pointing towards a draw on Saturday, as each of the last four has finished all square.

Reading vs Rotherham (League One)

Our final football pools tip this week comes from League One and the Select Car Leasing Stadium, where Reading will take on Rotherham. Reading have struggled for wins in recent weeks and have drawn each of their last two League One fixtures while Rotherham drew last time out against Blackpool.

On paper, these two teams are evenly matched and neither of them are finding wins easy to come by at present with both winning just one of their last five respective League One matches.
