It's second league 1st round qualifiers in the Europa League in what is another actioned packed Thursday night. Some of the ties are all but over and probably best left alone, especially for the sides like Molde, Brondby, Malmo etc who take massive leads into the 2nd leg.
I posted a preview on Monday for the week ahead and called out my two strongest looking bets – Rangers at home to minnows St Joseph's from Gibraltar on the basis that the prices would tumble come KO and that's certainly been the case. There are a couple of other games that have caught my eye for goals
Rangers vs St Joseph's (KO 7.45pm)
This match is all about how many goals do Rangers want to score – After a 4-0 win in the first leg you could argue they will take their foot off the gas in the 2nd leg but I don't' see that happening. Gerrard will want a comprehensive win in front of a packed Ibrox and with players fighting for places, I don't think we'll see any complacency.
Rangers have been terrific in their preparations and have already recorded 4-0 and 5-0 wins at Ibrox against Oxford and Marseille respectively, St Josephs are on to a hiding here in my opinion and I wouldn't be surprised to see this finish 6-0 7-0
Prices have dropped since I posted on Monday
Recommended Bets:
- Rangers -3
- 4/5 (Bet365) (NAP) – Now 4/7
- Over 4.5 match goals
- 10/11 (Bet365) – Now 8/11
Best of the rest
Have picked out 4 other games – Almaty are strong at home at home should be too good after their 2-1 aay win. Aberdeen where head and shoulders above RoPS last week and should have been well of sight. They'll do the business tonight. Both Hapeol and Haugesund should make light work of their 2 legs against inferior opposition.
Recommeneded Bet:
- Almaty vs Siroki (3.30pm) – Almaty to win
- RoPS v Aberdeen (5pm) – Aberdeen to win
- Hapeol Beer Sheva vs Laci (6pm) – Beer Sheva over 1.5 goals
- Haugesund vs Cliftonville (6pm) Haugesund over 1.5 goals
4 fold pays 3/1 (William Hill)
Easy NAP in the end. Thanks
