MANY people had Crystal Palace relegated when they lost their first seven league games without scoring.

So credit Roy Hodgson for a brilliant recovery and while they are just one point clear of the drop zone the club's looking up and ready to do business in the transfer window.

Palace are now unbeaten in eight matches – their best EPL run – and last weekend's 3-0 defeat of Leicester was a superb showing.

Now they tackle Arsenal at home and I'm not sure I want to back the Gunners at odds on – they are a best 5-6 at McBookie and bet365.

Arsene Wenger's men have been as inconsistent as usual – and their last outing against Liverpool just about summed up their season. Two-nil down, 3-2 up with three goals in five minutes and then conceding again to draw 3-3. At time they were breathtaking and at other times just rubbish.

On the road they've won just two out of nine and Palace will give them a massive test. Hodgson's side are a best 7-2 at betfair while the draw pays 16-5 at Betway.

It was 3-0 to Palace in this fixture last season – their only win in 12 at home to Arsenal – and I'm backing them to avoid defeat at 15-14 with Unibet.

Palace are unbeaten in their last six at Selhurst Park – three wins and three draws – and have scored exactly two goals in each game. They are 15-8 at McBookie to score 2+.

Not sure who Arsenal will play up front but Palace's main man is likely to be Wilfried Zaha who is 11-1 at Sky Bet to score first and 3-1 at Betfred to net.

Damning write up mr f on Liverpool some could take offence to that haha.Yes a new keeper is needed thats no secret and what i can gather a new keeper will be brought in January. Also Morata was not banned hes injured and unlikely to figure at Chelsea tommorrow.

Morata was banned. Beeb wrote: “Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata will miss Saturday’s trip to Everton after being booked in his side’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth. The act was considered to have delayed the kick-off and Morata will serve a one-match ban for his fifth yellow card of the season.”
Haven’t read anywhere that he’s injured.
As for Mignolet – a club the size of yours has to have a better keeper.

Well he was injured and banned.
Latest news: “Chelsea are set to recall Alvaro Morata to their starting line-up to face Brighton after the Spaniard was prevented from playing any part in the 0-0 draw with Everton due to a one-match suspension. Antonio Conte had attempted to make up his absence by continuing to field a striker-less formation with Eden Hazard flanked by Pedro and Willian but they posed little threat to Everton in a 0-0 draw.”

Liverpool have been my second team for as long as I can remember.
I honestly expected them to make a move for Kasper Schmeichel during the summer, but surely they’ll make a move during the January window…???

I don’t know if Schmeichel’s the man – should have been at a bigger club by now.

I’m just glad nobody is looking at trying to snag Derby’s in form keeper Scott Carson, his performances have been worthy of a recall to the England squad. Some of his saves this season – most recently are the reason we’ve not conceded. Just once in 7 games I think.
