DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN was one of the hottest prospects in football after helping England win the Under-20 World Cup back in 2017 but finds his career at a crossroads this summer at the age of 27.

After netting the winner in the final of that youth World Cup, many people were predicting the Everton kid would be leading the line for the Three Lions at Euro 2024.

But injuries have stopped the talented striker from making the step up and he has won just 11 senior caps, with few fans shedding a tear when failed to make Gareth Southgate's squad for this summer's finals in Germany.

Everton's fortunes have mirrored that of their star striker in the last seven years, with one of the giants of the English game reduced to fighting against relegation for the last few seasons.

With the club mired in off-field uncertainty and carrying huge amounts of debt, they could decide to cash in on Calvert-Lewin this summer with just one year left to run on his deal. The Toffees have opened talks over a new contract but the striker may decide it's time to move on for the good of his career.

Here's a look at where the Englishman might end up next.

Newcastle United

The Magpies are red-hot favourites to sign Calvert-Lewin with the striker just evens at BetVictor to move to St James' Park.

It's a move that makes sense with Newcastle's star striker Alexander Isak rumoured to be on the shopping list of Europe's biggest clubs.

Callum Wilson is currently the back-up to Isak but he's now 32 and has been dogged by injuries in recent seasons.

Eddie Howe will be looking for more firepower up front and Calvert-Lewin wouldn't break the bank given he's in the last year of his contract.

AC Milan

Skybet have the Serie A side as 6/1 second favourites in the betting for Calvert-Lewin's next club and a move abroad might appeal to Toffees striker.

Countrymen Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Fikayo Tomori have both moved to the San Siro in recent years and a change of scenery could be just what he needs.

Milan are also in need of reinforcements up front with French striker Olivier Giroud now 37 and getting well past his prime.

Manchester United

The Red Devils are in desperate need of a centre forward and the lack of options up front was one of the main reasons why they could only finish eighth in the Premier League last term.

Young Dane Rasmus Hojlund can't shoulder the burden alone any longer and I wouldn't be surprised to see United sign two centre-forwards this summer.

The Old Trafford giants have already made a bid for Calvert-Lewin's team-mate Jarrad Branthwaite and might try to do a double deal as negotiations continue.

Chelsea

The Blues were another team crying out for a recognised centre-forward last season, with Nicolas Jackson the only real option due to Christopher Nkuknku's injuries.

Enzo Maresca has taken over from Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge and will surely try to address that problem this summer.

Skybet price the Blues at 14/1 to land Calvert-Lewin and it does seem a bit of a long shot as Chelsea will want a striker with a better injury record than the Toffees man.

Tottenham Hotspur

Ange Postecoglou will step up his Spurs revolution this summer and also needs a centre-forward with Richarlison missing large spells of last season and winger Son Heung-Min forced to play at centre-forward a lot.

Calvert-Lewin would offer Tottenham a different kind of option up front and the striker would fancy playing in Postecoglou's side as he would get plenty of chances.

Spurs have European football this season so will need a bigger squad and Calvert-Lewin is 25/1 at SkyBet to end up with the Lilywhites.
