REGULAR visitors to the site will know I don't have much time to post tips on a Friday as I work on the weekend selections and my Daily Record column.
Sometimes there's not much on so it's not a problem but tonight there is plenty of action to keep punters occupied.
I don't have time to go into too much reasoning but here are some of the sides I'm backing.
In Serie A, Roma are struggling to stay in touch with the race for the Champions League places and must beat Cagliari at home. The Sicilians don't travel well so Roma should be OK at 11-20 BetVictor.
The match in Germany between Werder Bremen and Hannover looks full of goals. Hannover lost
5-4 at Schalke in their last Friday night game and their last six games have featured 30 goals with both sides scoring.
Five of Werder's last six have gone over 4.5 goals and they lost 3-2 to Hannover earlier in the season. The game smells of goals so look at over 3.5 at 23-20 at Betway.
In France, leaders PSG will be out to shrug off the hype surrounding the capture of David Beckham by winning in Toulouse. Becks won't feature for a few weeks but without him PSG can win and are 20-21 at boylesports.
PSG have kept seven successive cleans sheets – the last six have been victories – and are 9-4 at Ladbrokes to win to nil.
The Championship game between Sheffield Utd and Coventry looks tough to call. Two previous meetings this season ended 1-1 and another draw is possible.
I prefer the chances of Bristol Rovers at home to Barnet in League Two. Rovers have won successive away games at Rotherham and Fleetwood and climb out of the relegation zone and up four places if they win tonight.
Last night's suggested treble of Leicester, Ajax and Atletico Madrid came up so tonight look at Roma, PSG and Bristol Rovers. Anyone who doesn't fancy Rovers can try Besikta at home to Karabukspor (6pm).

Mr fixit, I think you mean Werder Bremen are playing Hannover 96 tonight.
Yeah, cheers.
Gone for: PSG to score first, besiktas double chance and werder bremen game over 1.5 goals at just over evens
Looking at the Roma strikers but can’t choose one to back, they all seem to be hitting in the goals so i’ve gone for a Clarkson (Bristol Rovers) and Huszti (Hannover) anytime double
hello paul, what do you think about the shett.utd tonight, i like an home win…but is interesting your opinion about this match.
Andy, I’ve said I’m on the draw. I can see it being 1-1 but it’s a tight call. Only bet I’ll consider here is both teams to score.
DUTCH JULIPER LG BTTS TREBLE FOR FRIDAY:
This little known league is a mecca for BTTS followers with an average match finishing with over 3 goals.
Den Bosch v Go Ahead Eagles 7.00pm
32 goals ave been scored in Eagles last 6 matches and they have averaged over 4 goals per game all season
Den Bosch aren’t quite as prolific as the visiting team, but considering Go Ahead Eagles have only kept 1 clean sheet this season, I’m pretty confident the home side will breach their leaky defence.
De Graafschap v Almere City 7.00pm
Almere have scored in EVERY away game this season – not bad for a team that were just two places off the bottom of the league just a couple of months ago. What convinces me of goals in this game is that De Graafschap have also scored in every home game this term.
I really can’t see past both teams scoring here. Both defences are fragile, but their strike forces also know how to produce goals.
FC Eindhoven v Excelsior 7.00pm
17th play 16th and this game should really be a goal fest. They only have 2 wins between them in their last 8 games played.
Visitors Excelsior are yet to shut out any team in an away game, and FC Eindhoven boast just 1 clean sheet at home all season. Both teams are struggling in the league
and will both fancying their chances of scoring against leaky defences. PAYS 31.80 for £10 stake.
Sean, it’s a good observation. Cheers for the write-up – I’m up against it on a Friday.
Sean am on all btts plus over 2.5 gls in bremen hannover, roma win and verona dnb around 100/1
Roma psg Bremen enhanced Treble 5/1 on paddy power worth punt :) .
over 3.5 goals in w.bremen
PSG to win
Valladolid v bilbao BTTS
7.15/1
i have to say i like that treble !
GOOD LUCK ALL
ROMA (-1) PSG(-1) 5/1 WITH BET365 WILL DO FOR ME
Toulouse have attacking and defending problems! only 1 1st team CB in the squad whos 20 btw. Sissoko and Riviera also left in January, How are psg still 5/6 and if Ibra plays they should win comfortably
Follow up on Sean tips about the Dutch Jupiler, Iv taken his 3 tips added Top Oss v Fc Volendam, OSS scored in last 8 Volendam failing to net only once in last 8, added Bremen v Hannover….
PSG -2 and btts Werder v Hannover £10 returns £105
Paul is imbrahimovic playing tonight???
Peter, Ibra playing as far as I know.
U defo must be under pressure Paul because I don’t think ud be taking 6/5 the gas men to beat burton! Lol! Look a good bet tonight vs barnet though. I saw them live a couple of weeks back when turned they fleetwood over very easily. They look worthy of a decent bet tonight after another good win at Rotherham on sat.
Leo, it’s mad but sorted.
Defo agree with u on the German game Paul,if it goes 2 form it should b full of goals. Think its the shortest I’ve ever seen btts @ 2/5 and with good reason. The Friday night Bundesliga games tend 2 b high scoring too,Schalke won 5-4 a couple of weeks ago on the Friday night
Jonathan, it’s amazing how stats can mean nothing sometimes. Couldn’t believe it when it was 0-0 for so long.
Gonna hava we dip on Bristol R 21/20, Valladolid 8/5 and Sheff Utd draw 12/5 – trixie
have to say as a sheffield united fan of late the results have not gone our way but two new faces in forte and barry robson should get bramall lane buzzing again and i can only see a tight win here for the blades against an improving coventry side. 2.1
Paul, any thought on Dumbarton at home tomorrow??? Maybe form team in Britain in 2013..Livi battered then twice tho? Canna even mind the Dumbarton managers name?
Guido, Dumbarton boss is Ian Murray, ex-Rangers and Hibs. His side have five wins in six since he came in and players have been singing his praises, talking up his methods etc. They are a big price due to league position but it’s a tough game with a Livi side on form and who beat Dunfermline away last week. Loads will be tempted by Dumbarton’s odds and form but I can see it being a score draw.
psg safe now 2 up and playin against 10 men, still cant believe that price. no gls in yhe 1st half at bremen hannover done ma main line tho and only got a couple longshots left. everton man utd psg treble looks awrite tho
a seen PSG were a nice price earlier craig a clocked them @ 2/1 2 Score In Both Halves seems like thats gawny happen.
seen a good wrtie up from Sean with the dutch second tier btts looking good hope GoAheadEagles grab a goal for him
got a shock waking up at hof 4 in the morning checked football scorers then went on the horse post and was amazed to see Jig Bock joint 2nd in the competition quality
Looks like 1 game is goin to let bts down in the dutch jupitor league games.
Bilbao are gettin battered after 20 minutes
Bremen game … Wow haha
Roma are pish man
1plus2, Roma result was unreal. Wonder when Cagliari last scored four away from home.
good avatar 1plus2 and I agree they are pish
Feckin unreal m8
glad i went for over 1.5 goals in the bremen game rather then 2.5 goals. although the over 1.5 was looking screwed there
Madi, the Werder game looked for all the money in the world an overs match but these things happen.
bremen chinned me on the 2.5 goals on 3 bets, form counts for nothing sometimes.
What’s the Five To Follow going to be this week?
John, it’s anytime scorers. All picked out so should be up soon when I dig out prices.
Can’t believe instead of taking the single on PSG -2 @ 6/1 I doubled it up with Werder btts… Instead of being happy with £70 to play with the morra I get greedy going for £105 on what we all thought was a ‘banker’… Oh well there’s always tomorrow…
if Italian footballs corupt hopefully Lawell will punt a few million Juventus way by next week haha good news is the games on cooncil tele for 1st time this season
@bingo Was in the same boat as you, took the Hanover game btts, as well as go ahead eagles btts on top, should’ve just stuck with PSG -1.5 on it’s own.
