WITH the WGC-HSBC taking place in China there isn’t a great line-up this week for the Sandersons Farms Championship.
There are 46 players from the Web.com Tour on show and it’s a place where some graduates have made a name for themselves. Putting and birdie average could be the stats to follow.
At the beginning of season 2016-17 I selected a young player from the Web.com to win the Sandersons Foods. He did at 100-1 and that guy was Cody Gribble. He hasn’t had the greatest of seasons but I think he will come good.
I am, however, looking again to the Web.com form for the winner and that guy could be Chesson Hadley. He has won twice on the Web Tour and in the first tournament of the PGA Tour a couple of weeks ago he finished T3 which is no mean feat.
He was the leading money winner on the Web.com Tour and had eight outings on the PGA Tour but missed the cut in four of them. The tall 30-year-old American is well worth a small wager this week. Putting average; 1.743 (T21) Birdie average 4.3 (T7).
