I CALLED the women's semi-finals correctly but it was all too easy for Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber who both won in straight sets.

In fact Serena lost just two games in a terribly one-sided match lasting just 48 minutes against Elena Vesvina who looked scared stiff on Centre Court. The double paid just 1-2 and if hadn't been wrongly appeared 13-10 on oddschecker I probably wouldn't have bothered.

The men's semi-finals on Friday promise to be much more competitive. Milos Raonic v Roger Federer could be a classic if the Canadian serves well. Two bets stand out for me – over 3.5 sets at 1-2 with boylesports and Raonic to break first at 6-5 with Ladbrokes.

In the recent Queen's final it took Murray a set and a half to break Raonic and it could take Fed some time to work his serve out if he's at his best.

Andy Murray struggled past Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarters and will need to more focused to beat Tomas Berdych. The Scot looked a bit nervous against Tsonga and while the Frenchman played well it should have been a more comfortable workout.

Murray is no bigger than 1-7 with William Hill and it's poor value. Take Murray most aces at 4-6 with Paddy Power and over 3.5 sets at 10-11 with boylesports – hopefully 3-1 Murray.

The Scot has won their last four meetings and nine out of 10 sets but Berdych is in top form and has reached the Final before so will be no pushover. The Czech is his biggest ever price to beat Murray at 13-2 with 10Bet.
