RANGERS now know they're in a title race – although how long it lasts is anyone's guess.
Hibs have drawn level with the Ibrox men at the top of the Championship but need to fend off suitors of the likes of Jason Cummings when the transfer window opens.
And if Rangers do business of their own by signing a couple of players who will improve the team that could also lead to them running away with it.
Tonight the Ibrox men play their game in hand at home to Dumbarton and while many lesser lights have given Rangers trouble over the past four seasons but they've never been rocked by the Sons.
During their lower-league adventures the sides have met six times with the Ibrox men boasting a perfect record. At home they won two Championship encounters 4-1 and 3-1 last season and I expect a similar sort of scoreline tonight.
It's a big game for Mark Warburton's men – their game in hand over Hibs who have drawn level at the top.
Rangers cranked up confidence with a 4-0 win against St Mirren on Saturday to reach the Petrofac Cup Final and it would be a surprise if they didn't grab at least three tonight.
With the Ibrox men no bigger than 1-9 to win at Coral other markets have to be explored for betting opportunities. Rangers have won seven out of seven at Ibrox, scoring 21 goals, but even over 2.5 home strikes is a bit short at 8-15 with Ladbrokes and to net four or more you can get 13-10.
Warburton's men minus one is also short at 1-3 with Ladbrokes so consider minus two at 10-11 with Skybet.
Dumbarton have netted on their two recent trips to Ibrox and scored in all but one of the last five meetings between the sides. Rangers restricted St Mirren to few chances at the weekend but a Sons strike at 33-20 is possible.
If you like that also consider both to score at 7-4 with Coral and Rangers and both to score at 17-10 with McBookie.
Rangers have loads of penalties this season and are 3-1 with Paddy Power to score from the spot. Take Martyn Waghorn is 1-2 with Coral to net at any time.

In your write up you mention
Rangers bts and win 17-10 which you recommend, and
Rangers bts 7-4 corals.
Surely bts is better as it pays more and requires a goal less
elvis parsley, just mentioning the prices if someone fancies them but not advising either.
Of course the 7-4 is a better bet but some people like to do a line of btts and others may look at btts and win.
Anyone it’s irrelevant as Coral have cut to 5-4.
as a season ticket holder at ibrox am really enjoying the football that warburton has them playing hes has them fighting for each other an running for 90mins am confidently predicting gers will win this game comfortably -2 10/11 is imo a great price I think that price will go as the day goes on. am going to go -2 nap this will get the turkey or al look like the turkey
RANGERS-2 10/11 nap
RANGERS to win both halves 8/13 nap/nb sky bet
Call me mental but I’m going for a couple of long shots for the game today. I’m looking at the possibility of Dumbarton taking all 3 points from Rangers. As I’m from Dumbarton myself I hope they pay for my Christmas. Instead of backing Dumbarton to win you can have 200/1 for Dumbarton HT FT or 125/1 for Draw HT Dumbarton FT with Coral. The same bet is only 22/1 and 25/1 in the Coral shop. Also if you’re looking for a value anytime goalscorer then look no further than Lee Wallace. He’s a stand out best price of 11/2 with Coral and he’s as short as 15/8 with Betfred.
Recommended Bets:
HT DUMBARTON FT DUMBARTON @ 200/1
HT DRAW FT DUMBARTON @ 125/1
LEE WALLACE ANYTIME GOALSCORER @ 11/2
Good Luck Everyone!!
