Sean Dyche has made Everton hard to beat again but they need to start turning draws into wins to climb the Premier League table and will be targeting three precious points when Brentford come calling.
After a horrendous start to the season that saw the Toffees lose their first four league games, they've suffered just one defeat in their last seven. But only two of those matches have ended in victories and that has left Dyche's side hovering just three points above the drop zone.
With Everton set to move into their shiny new stadium, avoiding relegation is essential for the club's future and this is the kind of game they need to be winning. They're still 5/2 outsiders for the drop but could do with putting a much-needed victory on the board.
That won't be easy, though, with Thomas Frank working wonders with his Brentford squad yet again this season. The Bees won 3-2 at home to Bournemouth before the international break, with a bet landing for our man Slips Tips, and that fired them up to 11th place.
In a congested table, Brentford are just three points off the Champions League places so if they can claim another three points it will send them soaring even higher up the table.
How the bookies view it: Toffees homing in on the points
Everton have been pretty strong at home this season and Betano make them 13/10 favourites for this one. Brentford are 15/8 outsiders and the draw pays 12/5.
Recent head to head: Everton bossing it
This fixture has been dominated by Everton in the last couple of seasons, with three wins for the Toffees and a draw. The last two meetings at Goodison Park have been tight, with the home side winning by 1-0 scorelines.
Players to watch it: Ndiaye can unlock the door
Iliman Ndiaye always catches my eye whenever I see Everton play and his creativity will be key in this game. The former Sheffield United and Marseille star is 10/3 with Bet365 to score his fourth goal of the season and 6/4 to either score or assist.
Yoane Wissa has really stepped up for Brentford this season since the departure of star striker Ivan Toney. The Congolese forward's double against Bournemouth took his tally for the season to seven and he looks overpriced at 10/3 for a goal here.
Probable teams
Everton are sweating on the fitness of Dwight McNeill, Seamus Coleman and Jarrad Branthwaite while Youssef Chermiti, Armando Broja, James Garner and Timothy Iroegbunam remain out.
Brentford strike duo Wissa and Bryan Mbuemo pulled out of their international squads with knocks but should be fit to start here. Ethan Pinnock is another injury doubt while Igor Thiago, Aaron Hickey, Gustavo Nunes, Rico Henry, Kris Ajer and Josh Dasilva remain sidelined.
Everton: Pickford, Tarkowski, Young, Mykolenko, Branthwaite, Mangala, Ndiaye, Doucoure, Gueye, McNeill, Calvert-Lewin.
Brentford: Flekken, van den Berg, Mee, Collins, Lewis-Potter, Norgaard, Jensen, Damsgaard, Janelt, Wissa, Mbeumo.
Anything else catch the eye?
This should be a close game as there's not much between these sides. The half-time draw looks good at 23/20 with Betano, while McBookie price a one-goal winning margin for either side at 13/10.
It's hard to predict if we'll see lots of goals or a dreary game as Brentford have been great entertainers while Everton's games have often been as exciting as watching paint dry. But the Bees have lost 1-0 on their last two trips to Goodison so under 2.5 goals could be the shout at evens with Bet365.
Dyche's side are usually pretty good value for corners so it could also pay to back over 11.5 flag kicks here at 23/20 with Betano. Everton also appeal at 11/10 with Bet365 at -1 in the corner handicap.
