Serie A outright winner odds and prediction

There was no stopping Inter Milan on their way to lifting the Scudetto last season. They are undisputed favourites in the current Serie A outright winner odds market to capture the title again, but will they be able to fend off Juventus and Napoli?

Best Serie A outright winner odds

Inter Milan – 8/11

After four games of the new season, Inter’s quote on winning the title has drifted from 4/6 to 8/11. They are still the firm favourites, but with four points dropped already, bookies have reacted quickly. Of course, Simone Inzaghi’s Inter are still the ones to catch, even with a quiet summer transfer window, with midfielder Davide Frattesi their biggest signing from Serie B’s Sassuolo.

Inter are a very good side defensively, as highlighted by the meagre 22 goals they conceded in the entirety of last season. Last season’s Serie A top scorer was Inter’s Lautaro Martinez and he’s the favourite to repeat the feat this season from a quote of 7/2, making an Inter Serie A title and Martinez top scorer double interesting.

Juventus – 11/4

This is a significant shift from odds that were as long as 4/1 in pre-season. Juventus have bolstered their midfield with the arrivals of Teun Koomeiners, Khephren Thuram and Douglas Luiz, giving them more steel and quality in the middle of the park as they look to make up ground on Inter.

No goals conceded in any of their first four league games of the season was a big early positive for them, causing their odds to shorten. The Old Lady were joint lowest-scorers in last season’s top six, but their improved defence may help get them close this time.

Best Juventus odds to win Serie A without Inter: 13/8.

Napoli – 6/1

Napoli, the 2022/23 Serie A Champions finished 10th last season in a poor title defence. But boss Antonio Conte has had a huge summer rebuild, and a good record in their first four matches (W3, D1) has calmed the nerves of supporters.

One of the biggest pre-season transfers in Europe saw Victor Osimhen leave Napoli to join Galatasaray, which sent Napoli’s title-winning odds spinning. But Napoli are well-equipped up front, with the talented Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and new signing Romelu Lukaku, who is a 9/1 shot in Serie A top scorer odds.

Best Napoli odds to win Serie A without Inter: 5/2

AC Milan – 14/1

AC Milan were runners-up last season, albeit 19 points behind rivals Inter. Head coach Paulo Fonseca has a big job getting them anywhere near the title this season.

Alvaro Morata joined in the summer, but the fact that he’s a massive 20/1 outsider to be the league’s top scorer says a lot about AC Milan’s chances. The Rossoneri look nowhere near as strong at the back as the other title contenders, and a top-four finish may well be their main target for now.

Best Juventus odds to win Serie A without Inter: 7/2

Who will win Serie A? Here’s our prediction

After five straight top-three finishes, Inter are well-positioned for a successful title defence, which no team has managed since Juventus in 2020.

But keep an eye on Napoli all the same, as there have been wholesale changes in Naples, and the newfound element of unpredictability they possess lends extra value to their 5/2 price in the w/o Inter betting market.
