Drogheda will look to move off the foot of the Irish Premier Division table on Friday night as they welcome European-chasing Sligo Rovers to Weavers Park in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Kevin Doherty’s hosts have scored 29 goals across their opening 27 matches in the Irish Premier Division this term, with 19 (70%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Drogs have found the back of the net in 10/13 (77%) of their league outings on home soil – notching on multiple occasions in eight (62%) of them, including in seven of their last 10 – and will look to trouble a Sligo defence that has recorded just two shutouts across their previous 10 league matches on their travels, shipping multiple goals in six (60%) of them.
John Russell’s visitors have scored 33 goals across their opening 27 matches in the Irish top flight, with a league-high 18 (55%) of them coming on their travels.
The Bit O'Red have found the back of the net in 9/13 (69%) of their road trips – notching on multiple occasions in six (46%) of them, including four of their previous six – and will look to breach a Drogs defence that has kept just five clean sheets and conceded a league-high 50 goals in the league this season.

The previous three meetings between the pair this season have produced 11 goals – with Over 2.5 Goals landing in each – and a repeat here appeals on Friday night.
