HEARTS have all but secured the third spot and they look a fair price to win at Tannadice against manager Robbie Neilson's old side, Dundee United.

The Jambos cruised to a 2-0 win against Aberdeen in midweek and it could and should have been more. Hearts seem to have got over their recent blip and were back to their best against the dismal Dons.

United blew the lead at Livingston and ended up losing 2-1 in West Lothian. They've only actually won two league games since mid-November, but have drawn plenty recently.

But there's a reason Hearts are 12 points clear in third place. They have clearly been the best team outside the Old Firm this season and are 14 points better off than United, who they have already beaten twice this season.

Neilson had a strong bench too against Aberdeen and is blessed with plenty of options. They started the week at 6/4 and are now odds-on, but the 20/21 is still acceptable.

STENHOUSEMUIR are somehow 19/10 outsiders to win at struggling Stirling Albion and that has to be taken on.

Stirling have won just one league game since October and that was actually against Stenny! But they've had something of a nightmare campaign in League Two and their only aim is to avoid being sucked into a relegation battle.

The introduction of Darren Young as manager has handed them no noticeable bounce so far. They've collected just three points from their last six league games

Stenny have chalked up wins against high-flying Annan Athletic and Forfar Athletic recently and seem full of confidence. They are begging to be backed at that price.

In the same league, Edinburgh City also look good value for an away win at 17/10 to win at Albion Rovers.

The capital side really should be higher up in the league than they are, but they have picked up recently. They certainly owe Albion Rovers after two defeats at Ainslie Park.

Rovers have been anxiously looking over their shoulders for some time at the Cowdenbeath revival and they've only won one game this year…against the Citizens.

But they were hammered in midweek at home to Annan and Gary Naysmith's side will fancy their chances at a good price in Coatbridge.
