MANCHESTER UNITED looked miles behind Liverpool as their rivals romped to the title last term but they're now the ones riding high as the Anfield side scrap to finish in the top four.
It has been a great week for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with his Red Devils thrashing Roma 6-2 in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final, a match where two of my tips came up.
With their place in the final all but assured, that means United can focus on this clash with Liverpool before resting players in the return game with the Serie A side.
And they will be desperate to delay Manchester City's coronation as champions, which could happen if Pep Guardiola's men beat Crystal Palace on Saturday and second-placed United crash to defeat in this one.
It's also a massive game for Jurgen Klopp's fallen kings as they bid to end a desperately disappointing season on a positive note by sealing a Champions League slot.
Liverpool have drawn their last two games against Leeds and Newcastle so they can ill afford any more dropped points if they are to pip Chelsea and West Ham to fourth place.
How the bookies view it
Manchester United have lost just one of their last 22 games so I'm surprised to see Liverpool as slight favourites at 13/8 with SBK. Solskjaer's side are 15/8 with Betway and the stalemate pays 27/10 at SBK.
Recent head to head
There has been nothing between these sides of late, with the last 10 meetings producing two Liverpool wins, two United victories and six stalemates.
Their Premier League clash at Anfield earlier this season was a 0-0 snorefest but United then won an FA Cup thriller 3-2 at Old Trafford in January (below).
Players to watch
Paul Pogba (below) was superb in the comeback win over Roma and has played a key role in United's fine run of form. He relishes the big occasions and is 23/4 with Unibet for anytime scorer.
Mo Salah scored both Liverpool's goals in their FA Cup loss at Old Trafford and has 29 for the season after netting against Newcastle last time out, He's 7/5 with TonyBet to score here and that looks good value.
Anything else catch the eye?
Liverpool's defence continues to look vulnerable so I'd be surprised if there was a repeat of the dreary league draw at Anfield. Over 2.5 goals is a best 9/10 at Betfair which is good for accumulators while both teams to score is 14/19 at SportNation.
William Hill are offering 3/1 on each team having over one corner in each half and that's worth a punt as Liverpool will push forward in search of a win, letting United hit them on the counter.
The same firm price over one card for each team at 6/4 and that's also good value in what can often be a fiery fixture.
If you're looking for a bonkers bet then SkyBet price Harry Maguire scoring a header at a whopping 20/1.
