THERE were no penalties at Anfield on Monday but plenty of talking points to keep punters interested.
The stadium doesn't rock like it does with fans in it but Liverpool showed their mettle by coming from behind to beat Arsenal 3-1.
The champions were given some frights by the Gunners but in the end new boy Diogo Jota's goal clinched it and lifted them above Everton in to second place behind early pacesetters Leicester.
Jota's strike also sealed my 9-5 Super Single which was Liverpool and both teams to score.
Well done to all the winners and there were plenty even though it was a quiet Monday night.
Moving on to Tuesday and the main game in England is Spurs vs Chelsea in the Carabao Cup. Jose Mourinho has already said he can't prioritise this game with another Europa League tie on Thursday so expect a second-string side against a stronger outfit. That explains why Chelsea are no bigger than 3-5 to win and they should do so.
There are three second-leg Champions League qualifiers – Dynamo Kiev vs Gent, Ferencvaros vs Molde and Nicosia vs Olympiakos. I expect wins for Kiev and Olympiakos and after a 3-3 thriller in Sweden last week both to score should land at Ferencvaros.
In La Liga there are two games – Real Sociedad vs Valencia and Getafe vs Real Betis – and not much else to look at.
Sociedad have been well backed against a Valencia side short of defenders and I'm banking on Chelsea even if they've gone out a bit to a best 3-4 with BetVictor.
Complete the treble with bttss at Ferencvaros. All of their Champions League games have featured goals at either end and Molde won't sit back knowing they probably need to score at least two to qualify.

You have to agree with Mourinho here about playing this cup and then two days later playing an important European qualifier.Whilst i agree with him to some extent he can’t blame to many games on Son’s hamstring injury they have had plenty of time off and big clubs should be used to playing lots of games,i think his winging is more down to the depth of his squad as he just hasn’t got any.Now i don’t believe for one second we will see any first team players (or maybe the odd one or two) but he certainly won’t risk Harry Kane and co for this match.On the other hand this is a perfect opportunity for Chelsea as they look to settle in their new players and you can only do that by playing games and in their last game it was evident this is needed so i would expect to see them play tonight, given my reasons i can’t see why Chelsea shouldn’t win by two clear goals.This game for me could be like the one where Liverpool’s youth played Aston Villa plenty of goals.

Watford to beat Reading 3/10/20
I was last on here just after Reading had beaten Derby at Pride Park on the first weekend of the Championship saying how impressed i was with their performance. I also touched on how their home form was the 2nd worst in the league last season, and it would be interesting to see how they faired against Barnsley at home in their next game. They won 2-0 but Barnsley were reduced to 10 men on 42 mins, and then 9 after another red card mid-way through the 2nd half. I t was a hard fought victory in the end which made me believe they could be backed against at home with potential match changing team news.
Their next game was away to Cardiff where there was really big team news as John Swift was left out of the squad, unknown to us why until a couple of days ago he was declared out for the rest of 2030 with a hamstring injury and anyone who knows the Championship knows he is a top player and will be a massive miss.
Mid-way through the 2nd half in the Cardiff game came the key news i was waiting for, Lucas Joao, who is well known to be injury prone went off with a dislocated shoulder. Joao for me is their key player, without him they struggle immensly, he had scored 4 goals in the last 5 games and a couple of assists.
An added bonus was the deputising right back Felipe Araruna who had been covering for the already injured Andy Yiadom. This will leave Reading with real problems in that position, possibly having to rely on academy players to cover on Saturday.
Watford have Ismaila Sarr back after he started in the 1-0 victory over Luton on Saturday. Totally dominating that game which they should have scored more.
Their game against Boro was a hard earned victory but they dd have alot of first team players missing. The Sheff Wed game they were average first half but really improved 2nd half only for the Wednesday keeper to keep them out with several excellent saves.
What i noticed in the Luton game was partnership of Sarr and the Brazilian forward Joao Pedro who seems like a very good player. I see them causing real problems for defences in the Championship this season.

If the players for Reading mentioned aren’t on the team sheet ( Lucas Joao is key player) on Saturday and also Sarr is playing for Watfoford ( Premier league sniffing around him this week) and with the added bonus of no John Swift and Reading being without a first team right back i think this will be an outstanding opportuniny to catch the bookmakers out.
I have put 25% of my stake on at 27/20 with Unibet and it will be an easy cash out for a loss if the team news is not to my liking. I will get the rest on after seeing team sheets. Hopefully my write up will help anyone else who had spotted the Reafing injurys this week and was hoping to capitalize also.
