CARAVAN OF HOPE (4.20) can register his first victory in the 1m 4f Novice Stakes at muddy Ascot.
Hugo Palmer's colt has had the misfortune to twice run into the progressive Trueshan but he made the winner pull out all the stops last time at Ffos Las. Trueshan and Caravan of Hope drew eight lengths clear of favourite Alignak and that horse reappeared at Kempton and won easily by more than four lengths off a mark of 86. Frankel filly King Power receives 5lb and looks the main danger in an interesting little contest.
Sir Michael Stoute and Ryan Moore team up with ALMANIA (2.35) and LAAFY (3.45). Alamania has been meeting horses of a slightly higher grade and although finishing a neck behind Just Hubert when they were fifth and sixth respectively in the Melrose Stakes at York, Almania is 9lb better off.
Laafy ploughed through the Nottingham mud in August to beat Not So Sleepy quite comfortably and may be good enough to deny in-form Hereby a five-timer.
