ALAN utilises his local knowledge for four Musselburgh bets on Friday and also a nap from Lingfield and Newbury tip.
Lingfield 4.55
MAGIC MIRROR needs to translate her very consistent Kempton form to Lingfield but is worth chancing in a weak contest. Nicky Henderson has found Twist a good opening for his handicap debut. The four-year-old is no world-beater but picked up a modest affair over course and distance in December before beating one home at Kempton.
Newbury 1.45
Henderson will be more at home over the jumps at Newbury where Morning Vicar is likely to start favourite for the 2m 4f novices’ hurdle. His gelding needed every yard of the 2m 5f trip to catch Juge Et Parti and BREAKING WAVES looks a bit of value, having shown a good attitude to win at Huntingdon.
Musselburgh 2.30
At Musselburgh, WOT A SHOT was a bit below par when only fifth to course record-breaker Manamite here at the end of January but performed better in slightly lesser grade when scoring over course and distance in January. Gemologist looks to be an improving filly for Lucinda Russell and should go well if repeating her recent course third.
Musselburgh 3.40
FRAME RATE fairly sprinted clear on the run-in over course and distance 12 days ago and will follow up for Scobie Jardine if stripping in the same mood.
Musselburgh 4.10
So Satisfied scrambled home 22 days ago but no doubt will be backed to produce an action replay. However, KOVERA could be another winner for the Vaughan yard. The seven-year-old probably found the ground too testing when disappointing at Sedgefield but had earlier won twice on better ground.
Musselburgh 4.45
YEATS BABY is an interesting Irish mare sent over by Emmet Mullins, having won on a long trip to Fakenham in November. She may prove too strong for market rival Splash The Cash. Course winner Samtu was bowling along merrily in the lead until the 13th fence proved unlucky last time and he now reverts to hurdles.
Busy day today with 30+ races.

Horse racing is just a lottery i do not know how some people win money from it. Fair play those how do
The first ever grand national winner was actually called lottery i found out the other day. I guess that is where the national lottery name comes from.
Does anyone have any grand national tips or is it to early?
horse racing is like a lottery if you play it like a lottery. it is not a get rich quick opportunity for the general punter, you need to have a game plan, and you really should actually have your own genuine interest in the sport. the worst mistake you can do is come here expecting to win based on the word of other people, compiling the correct array of tips on any given day is extremely hard, I would go as far as having 5 different banks, which may initially mean your stake has to be low but profit is profit. the reason for this is, first it allows you to see where or who is losing you money, then it also means you do not miss out on a great day from your tipster which could make the entire year. imagine following uncle pom every couple of three days, you may be missing all his 10 point days and getting on when he hits the post, and instead of your bank being +250 points, you may be up a fraction of that if not down, johnb had a three figure treble and few years ago and it obliterated months of losing months, imagine missing that because you dont have a strategy. you can have your own bank for mutliples compiled using a small selection from everyone too etc. having a bank and being disciplined means on any given day you are only losing 1-3% of your entire bank roll, meaning nothing drastic can happen.. yes winning £20 may not give you what you are looking for, but it adds up and you have to start off sensibly. one important thing to remember is, no matter what, do not chase your losses, remain calm there will be at least 20 races the next day and much better opportunities… feel free to ask any questions or share your thoughts in order to get yourself on the right track, bol.
Not interested in anything you say. You talk trash on here.
you complain you cant win, i give you some key info to get your losses sorted out and you aren’t interested, hopefully those you perceive with more esteem come online soon and go out of their way to help.
and talk trash? well I have put up a lot of 2nds and a lot of speculative bets, but with a bank you can afford to be speculative, if you want to nitpick and go through every tip I have put up, I put up a 5 timer a few weeks back (last time Chevalier won) so following me has actually been profitable, haha.
Also, I like to pass on little nuggets of info I pick up on, and trends I spot, a couple of weeks ago a duo I know for shocks had a 25/1 winner, that day I told people to look out for B I Case and Max Kendrick (especially when racing in Kendrick silks. Well since that day, March 2nd, if you put £10 on every Case horse, you would be over £800 up.. so I guess I am not completely useless :D
i tipped up cashel when it came 2nd, it went on to win the next two typically and is out again in 15 minutes. he was in a pretty hot c5 race lto, yet the claimer meant he was 7lbs better off for his class 6 win, tonight he remains in class 5, but is up 11lbs for his win 2 starst back, the horses he beat in that race have all gone on to perform even worse next time. the 4lb swing elixsoft has the beating of porimma based on a 4lb swing for a 2l defeat, the race is off in 7 mins and given i only looked at it 7 mins ago, i will be sticking with the man himself Andrew Britain, International Law 7/2 Seaborough 40/1 speculative e/w
