ALL eyes will be on the UCL matches tonight but there are plenty of lower-league English games to get stuck into and there are already a few good write-ups on the site.
QPR are at home again against a WBA side who are in fine form and we should see goals there. My main focus today will be on the Dundee United Reserves vs Hamilton Reserves match this afternoon.
Dundee United Res vs Hamilton Res (1.30pm)
As you know I'm a huge fan of Reserve/Development football for goals and today sees Dundee United host Hamilton at St Andrews.
Team news is crucial now since the league resorted back to Reserve Football rather than U21s with clubs now able to field whoever they want with no age restrictions.
United brought 11 new players in during the January transfer and boss Robbie Nielson will be making sure those who didn't feature at the weekend get some game time here.
They played city rivals Dundee in a reserve match last week and thumped them 7-0, Sow, Smith, Stanton and Fyvie all started and if we see a similar side fielded today I fear for Hamilton.
The visitors for years now have always had an impressive youth set-up and were always one of the top development sides in country but are struggling this year, losing goals and have lost 4 of their 5 away matches
United's games this season have seen goals galore (5-1 4-3 4-3 1-4 1-2 0-7) – 35 goals in their last 6 games and with Hamilton leaking and United likely to field a strong side I would be surprised if we didn't see goals here.
You were getting 2-5 on United last night (it's now 1-14). The bookies aren't daft though and have set markets accordingly. You can get over 3.5 goals still with Skybet and although its shorter than what I'd normally post it's still backable or you can take the Asian goal line over 4 goals at 10-11 (money back if only 4 goals).
Recommended Bets
- Over 3.5 match goals
- (4-6, Sky Bet) NAP)
- Over 1.5 first half-goals (inplay)
- Over 4.5 goals
- (6-4, bet365)
Greg with 365 on the asians
it’s Utd – 3.5 @ 1.85
And over 4.5@1.825
Do you have team news? Or just a hunch?
Still waiting on team news mate – last night it was a strong hunch, this morning its factual as I’ve received a text advising united are fielding a strong side
Thanks Greg good man and fingers crossed 🤞
yeah they used a lot of 1st team players last week, I am from dundee and a lot of people at my work were running off the floor at work to get the bets on cause they had the knowledge hahaha
You’re From Dundee Aarron, sorry to hear that mate 😂
That’s some starting 11 today
born there went to Forfar academy which just does no favours either hahahah, won good coin off that 1st half got 3/1 for tgls and 7/4 for 1st half match goals just before it went 2-0, cheers man
What bookies was that with mate?
william hill, by far the best for inplay 1st half team goals on anything.
those prices were at 0-0 obv as well
A really really strong 11 – could easily be a first team starting 11 for a championship match
Reserves: Laidlaw, Watson, Booth, Fyvie, Reynolds, Toshney, C Smith, Butcher, Sow, Stanton and Nesbitt.
Subs: M Smith, Trialist GK, Inglis, Appere, Banks and Graham.
As you say it’s some line-up – pity all the prices have gone but well done for flagging it up early doors.
Grieg what does Asian 4.25.mean ?
Just means over 4 ( you need 5)
Have sky pulled the game? Struggling to find value so only on utd HT/FT
Yeah sky pulled it earlier as have BetVictor
Do u get your money back if it’s only 4 ?
No, would need to be an Asian line of 4.0 to get stakes back if only 4
You’ll need 5 goals for over 4.25
Thanks Greg got on unquoted score betstars 11/8 5-0 just got me over the line.
Am just going to keep the money in this account now just for your bets.
