MRF TopTips
LET'S take a deep breath before the madness continues on Tuesday with more European qualifiers.

The World Cup ended on a high for punters with favourites France beating Croatia with Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe on target.

France were my Super Single and there were plenty of winners including Greg and HullShaker. My golf two-ball treble incredibly threw up three draws thanks to Ryan Fox's birdie at 18 so the bet was void.

So that's another tournament over and we'll all be turning our attention to the big league kick-offs across Europe.

My stats below cover advised tips during the World Cup so I'll start with new figures for the rest of July. It was pretty even steven during the tournament but the figures don't take into account my two biggest wins on John Stones and Harry Maguire to score first for England.

I reckon I'll have a day off on Monday then be back with tips covering the Champions League, Europa League and dreaded Betfred Cup games on Tuesday.

Remember to check out welovebetting for latest tips and video chat.

Considering how many upsets there were during the world cup, any profit is good in my book. Well done, cracking effort by all the team with all the write-ups and insight during the world cup. Enjoy some time off ?

A little heads up on Liverpool’s upcoming tour of America,Sadio Mane,Salah,Firmihno,Shaqiri will not be joining until the Man Utd game on the 28th August and even then will probably not play in that game so betting wise it would be no bet.

The majority of the Utd first team won’t be there either so pointless betting on that game. I refuse to bet on any friendly games these days. Generally two different teams playing each half or a host of second half subs. Better sticking to competitive games when we know players will be playing properly and actually care about winning the game.

For those with a betway account, one promotion I like is the one they do on golf majors. They usually pay out if your selection is leading after round 1. For this week’s Open, they will now payout if he leads at end of any round. To be honest, given how difficult it is to pick a winner at the start of the week and the amount of money bookies make on the golf they should all be offering this. But worth a look if you are having a punt on the Open. Make sure you read the terms and conditions.
I’m going with the missus pick for above (she picks far more major winners at the golf than me)
He had a very decent run at Gullane and will be well acclimatised for the Open at Carnoustie.
    Rickie Fowler @ 16-1 **
    Good luck ?

    Morning gents

Had a good look at the SPL Antepost markets – there are two crackers I’ve found – to be honest, the bookies have absolutely lost the plot with the pricing of these – they should be punished ?

    ??????? SPL Antepost ???????

? Hearts to Finish in the top six – 4/9

Bet365 have priced this up at 4/9 which is absolutely ridiculous. They’ll have one of the biggest budgets in the league outside of Celtic and Rangers and have already made a dozen signings. Yes they have to gel but they managed to get Steven Naismith Back, Kyle Lafferty will score 15+ goals for them and its daft to think that two clubs outside of the “big 5” will finish above Hearts. Get this on all of your Antepost accumulators or if you want to make an investment get it on as a single. They should be 1/4 or 1/5

    ****************************

?Kilmarnock to Finish in the bottom six – 6/4

This is a terrific price – the are 8/15 to finish in the top 6 which again is another another grossly misguided price.

To set the scene the top 6 next season will be Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hibs and hearts ( not in that order although could be haha)

That means you essentially have one top 6 place al remaining for the other 7 teams to fight for. You can exclude , Livingston, Hamilton and probably St Mirren which leaves 4 clubs fighting for that last top 6 place ( St Johnstone, Motherwell, Dundee, Kilmarnock)

There’s really not a lot between these 4 teams yet the bookies have been taken in by Killie’s terrific season last year and don’t get me wrong, Steve Clarke and Kilmarnock deserved all of the plaudits they got but to expect them the be able to reach last seasons level of performance is a huge ask.

I’m not saying Killie are going to have a bad season but Boyd and are broadfoot aren’t getting any younger, they’ve lost a few players and have only brought 2 players in. The bookies are basing their price purely on last seasons efforts and that should be exploited. 6/4 is a cracking price for Killie not to make the top 6 – you’re backing one of Motherwell, St Johnstone or Dundee to finish above them. It such a competitive league and to have Killie odds on for top 6 foolish

A word of warning to everyone I put up a Message the other day about being blocked by Paddy Power even though the account was showing a slight loss. I have now also received an email from skybet restricting that account I was £250 up this month with them. The only thing that changed was that I had started to use Oddschecker to place my bets. I think the bookies are definitely restricting accounts that use odds checker to place bets. Find the best odds there but do not bet through the link.

    Good Luck.

    • Avatar of Alex Ewart
      alex_mufc83 6 years ago

interesting – cheers for the info. I don’t place via oddschecker, only use it to find the best odds, but the fact two bookies have blocked you now does make you wonder. doesn’t make sense why they would block you though – you’re still placing the bet with them, the odds aren’t any sharper with the same bookie.

    • Avatar of danny higgins
      cockerspaniel 6 years ago

iaabh. So were you putting your bets on by using Oddschecker ?

    • Avatar of Mr Fixit
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Not sure if the oddschecker link is the problem but bookies share information.
So if you’re blocked by one others will know that.

    • Avatar of Ian Jones
      iaabh22 6 years ago

They cannot share information it’s illegal under the new GDPR regulations if they are sharing information on an individual they are in breech of this and should be getting a visit from the Information Commissioners office.

Read an interesting article on another website and they were pretty convinced Oddschecker was an issue as the bookies like slave accounts ie people who blindly bet with them.

Has anyone else been blocked who uses Oddschecker and clicks on the link.

    • Avatar of Mr Fixit
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Pretty sure it won’t be illegal and there will be something in the terms and conditions.

    • Avatar of Ian Jones
      iaabh22 6 years ago

Mr F unless bookies are exempt (which they won’t be). They cannot do this anymore in fairness the new legislation only came in a few weeks ago and it applies to all business. If they have done it before they should not do it now.

I was talking about in the past. May well have changed and as you say they are being more carefully regulated.

    • Avatar of mark edley
      maccathered 6 years ago

Hell yeah,i reckon he will join, the vibes coming from Liverpool suggest a move is imminent, the Lyon president has no problem with Fekir leaving for Liverpool as Fekir has stated that Liverpool are his dream club, the president was playing hardball before the world cup and i think this was incase he had a blinding world cup then he could have upped the price,as Fekir only played a bit part the price remains the same,Liverpool want to pay in instalments and if this can be agreed i see this transfer going ahead.

It’s been just over a month since the last Paraguayan football was kicked in domestic anger but tomorrow sees the opening of the Clausura (latter) section of the Primera season and the meeting of two underperforming sides…

3 DE FEBRERO VS. GENERAL DÍAZ (2150 KO):

Newly(ish) promoted ‘3rd of Feb’ play host to a Diaz side here and both teams saw a decent amount of goals in the Apertura (opening) season’s campaign; the host’s last 10 games saw 2-2-5-2-5-3-2-3-2-4 whilst Diaz’ most recent 10 matches saw a stonking 2-7-5-5-1-4-3-4-5-3.

Both of the very recent 2018 H2H’s were goalfests with a combined total of 9 goals made up of 3-2 and 2-2 scorelines…could be some value here with both sets of players well rested and I’m calling the bookies wrong on this one:

    OVER 2.5 MGS…9/10
    ????

    OVER 3.5 MGS…9/4
    ??

    Best of luck!
