Denmark v France
Live on ITV. Kick-off 4:00pm.
This match has the feel of a dead rubber but for Denmark there's still plenty to play for.
It's still possible for Australia to overhaul them but it would require the Danes to lose and the Aussies to defeat Peru. That would leave them level on points so it could come down to goal difference, if they're still level thereafter then it's goals scored. It could be another 90 minutes of fluctuating group positionings.
A draw or win would see France top the group and set-up a Last 16 tie with any one of Nigeria, Iceland or Argentina, arguably a preferable route to the quarters than finishing second and taking on Croatia for a place in the final eight.
Didier Deschamps may take the opportunity to rest a few player, especially those on a yellow card (Pogba and Matuidi) but much-fancied Golden Boot contender Antoine Griezmann will be keen to add to his tally of just one goal in the tournament so far.
France have generally fared well against the Danes, winning six of the last seven meetings and Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud particulary enjoys the clashes; he's scored each of France's last three goals against Denmark. They've not sparkled yet in Russia and with changes expected it's unlikley that they'll suddenly turn it on in a match they don't need to win.
And that's the crux of the matter for me. Although a win would see the Danes top the group, a draw suits both sides here and 9/5 looks decent value. Or you could take 9/10 on there being an even number of goals, which of course includes any kind of draw or either team winning by 2 goals.
Card-happy Brazilian referee is the man in the middle so a play on the cards market in your BetBuilder is also worth considering.

Read this morning that there’s a bit of needle in this match after comments made by the Danish gaffer saying this team have no Zidane and questioning whether Pogba is more interested in his haircuts than his football. That should back up the cards call and a red could be a shout. All the noise from the a French camp suggests they won’t ease up and do them any favours.
