DON'T know what was the biggest shock last week – St Johnstone's win at Ibrox or Hearts crushing Celtic.

Both paid 9-1 so the double returned 99-1 but I don't know anyone who was on.

Undoubtedly it was a weekend for bookies and both halves of the Old Firm face tough tests today.

Celtic bounced back from their horror show at Tynecastle to beat Partick Thistle 2-0 and lead Aberdeen by five points ahead of today's meeting at Parkhead.

Rangers, who have been better away most of the season, tackle form side Kilmarnock who have already drawn at Ibrox under Steve Clarke.

A Killie/Dons double pays 45-1 at betfair and plenty will back it for small stakes and it has a chance.

Celtic have gone off the boil but have a great record against Aberdeen winning eight in a row at home and earlier in the season blew them away 3-0 at Pittodrie.

The Hoops are a best 2-5 at Stan James while the draw pays 9-2 at sportingbet and that could be the best bet.

Both teams have scored in nine of the last 11 meetings in Glasgow and that pays 15-14 at Unibet.

Killie are unbeaten in four since losing to Aberdeen and have lost just once in four at home to Rangers.

They are a biggest 4-1 at William Hill and 13-10 at bet365 not to lose. Gers are 7-10 at McBookie but again a draw could be the shout at 3-1 with William Hill.

Stalemates at Celtic Park and Rugby Park pays 21-1 at Marathonbet.

Scottish bookmakers McBookie.com are offering 4-1 Celtic will complete the domestic treble by not losing another game.

Spokesman Paul Petrie said: “As soon as the Hearts game was over we had punters asking for a price on Celtic not losing again for the rest of the season. They will certainly be able to play with less pressure.”

Elsewhere in the Premiership Hibs should get back on track at home to Ross County after losing to Aberdeen and Rangers.

County have taken just two points from six games and conceded nine in four so Hibs should land at 1-2 with McBookie while Hibs to score 2+ is a better price at 8-13 with bet365.

If Hearts play as they did against Celtic they'll win at St Johnstone but it's asking a lot especially away from Tynecastle. The Jambos will be well backed at 6-4 with William Hill but I can see a draw at 11-5 with McBookie as Saints will be confident after their Ibrox success.

Having netted seven between them last season both to score at evens with 10Bet looks decent but Saints have won the last three meetings in Perth 1-0.

In the Championship Dundee United face a Livingston who were poor in midweek against Falkirk.

United are unbeaten in the league under Csaba Laszlo and are overpriced at evens with Marathonbet.

Dunfermline were unlucky to lose at St Mirren last week and look one for accas at 2-5 with William Hill at home to basement boys Brechin.

Ayr's last three matches have produced five goals apiece and no reason to not back another goalfest at Airdrie whose last five have seen both to score. I like Ayr and over 2.5 goals at 8-5 with Ladbrokes and even Ayr just to win is decent at 9-10 with Marathonbet.

Best bets in League Two could be leaders Montrose who are 31-20 at McBookie at Stirling. Albion have one win in six and lost 3-1 to their rivals at Forthbank in August.
