BOOKIES are expecting a day of frenzied tennis betting as the last 16 in the men's singles take to the courts.
Ladbrokes and other firms are braced for a busy day with most of the turnover expected to be on the Andy Murray v Richard Gasquet.
Murray is a biggest 2-7 with the likes of Ladbrokes and Stan James to win and I reckon he'll breeze through against a Frenchman who has given him difficulties in the past.
Twice Murray has battled back from 2-0 down to beat his opponent, once at Wimbledon and the other time in the French Open.
But the Scot is a better, more rounded player now and should see off an opponent whose best surface isn't grass.
Murray to win 3-0 is 6-4 with boylesports but 3-1 at 14-5 with sportingbet could be the call. A third successive 3-2 between the pair is 13-2 at Betfred.
The world No.4 is 8-15 with Ladbrokes to win the first set and the match and 4-11 for the first set.
I tipped the top four seeds to make the semi-finals at the start of the tournament and that now pays with Ladbrokes.
While Murray isn't regarded as a banker against Gasquet, the world's top three are all short prices to reach the last eight.
Tournament favourite Roger Federer is no bigger than 1-33 to knock out Mikhail Youzhny and Novak Djokovic a best 1-9 with sportingbet against Michael Llodra.
World No.1 Rafa Nadal is 1-5 with William Hill and others to take care of big-hitting Juan Martin del Potro.
Elsewhere I like Feliciano Lopez at 4-11 with unibet against Pole Lukasz Kubot. Lopez blew away Andy Roddick in straight sets in the last round and has the perfect game for grass.
Last season's runner-up Thomas Berdych has cruised through and should be too good for Mardy Fish. Berdych is 1-2 at sportingbet.
Another grasscourt expert Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, runner-up to Murray at Queen's, is 1-2 at Ladbrokes to dump David Ferrer.
