Wimbledon 2024 Predictions Women's Outright Winner Betting Tips

Wimbledon begins this Monday, and with it, the tennis world turns their attention to the grass courts of London for the next fortnight. Who will stamp their mark on the WTA Tour and grab hold of the year’s third Grand Slam?

We’ve broken down the draw, analysed each player’s form and playing style, and come up with the best predictions for the Wimbledon 2024 women’s singles event. Read on if you’re looking to put some wagers on the outright betting market at Wimbledon this week.

Women’s Wimbledon 2024 – Best Outright Bets

Enough preamble–here are the best outright bets to make on the Wimbledon 2024 women’s singles.

Best Bet – Elena Rybakina @ 5/1

We’re high on Elena Rybakina this Wimbledon, and expect the Kazakh to execute a repeat of her 2022 run when she stormed to a maiden Grand Slam title in London.

While Rybakina has not added to her Grand Slam tally in the last two years, she’s remained competitive at the top of the women’s game. The 25-year-old currently sits at No. 4 in the rankings, and is primed for a deep run this Wimbledon.

Grass courts are by far Rybakina’s best surfaces. She holds a 72.7 percent win rate on grass, well ahead of her figures on hard and clay. At Wimbledon specifically, she’s only lost three times, picking up 16 victories with one title, a quarter-final and a Round of 16 finish.

With a big, flat serve and hard groundstrokes, we expect Rybakina to overpower her closest rivals and storm to her second Wimbledon title this fortnight.

Honourable Mention – Ons Jabeur @ 14/1

If, for some reason, Rybakina fails to make a deep run at this year’s Wimbledon, then Ons Jabeur is our next best bet.

The Tunisian is another grass court specialist with a history of success at SW19. She is a two-time finalist, with her last three editions of Wimbledon reading quarter-final, final, final. It’s not like she’s got lucky either: so far at Wimbledon, Jabeur has had to defeat the likes of Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina–conquering the latter in consecutive matches last year.

While Jabeur hasn’t had things all her way over the past 12 months, the No. 10 seed has begun to discover some handy form in the last month on her favourite surface. Quarter-finals in Nottingham and Berlin are encouraging signs, and give us confidence that she’ll be able to push for higher honours in London.

Best Dark Horse Bets at Wimbledon 2024

Those were our women’s Wimbledon 2024 predictions, for those of you who like a slightly riskier, high return wager, here are some dark horses we like this year:

Jelena Ostapenko @ 33/1

Is there a more mercurial player than Jelena Ostapenko on the WTA Tour? We recommend betting on the Latvian if you’re after a big return–that comes with a fair degree of risk as well.

Ostapenko began this year with a bang. She became the first player to win two titles, claiming WTA 500s in Adelaide and Linz within a month of the season starting. She’s struggled to maintain that form since, but always threatens to rekindle the kind of tennis that saw her beat the best in the world.

What makes Ostapenko such a good dark horse at Wimbledon is her aggressive style of play. Either it works, or it doesn’t. When it works, whoever is on the other side of the net doesn’t matter. If there’s ever a surface it will work on, it’s grass.

Elina Svitolina @ 80/1

Now for an almost jet-black horse–Elina Svitolina. The Ukrainian star is paying incredible 80/1 odds to win Wimbledon, which is a great deal in our view.

Svitolina has twice made the semi-finals in London, including once this time last year. Sure, her form has been inconsistent, but that’s because she’s a mother and has her priorities elsewhere at times on Tour.

Looking at her Grand Slam results since returning from maternity leave, and there’s a clear trend: Svitolina steps it up a gear at the majors. She’s made the quarter-finals, semi-finals, one third round and two Round of 16s in the past 13 months.

While she’s by no means the most likely woman to win Wimbledon this year, we also don’t think it’s an impossible scenario. With odds of 80/1, this is a great dark horse bet.
