Best tennis tips and predictions today
In our first prediction, we’re backing Arthur Fils to beat Jan-Lennard Struff in two sets, while in the other we’re backing Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard to keep his winning streak going against the always challenging Karen Khachanov.
Fils to defeat Struff 2-0 @ 6/5
Arthur Fils is a very good tennis player who has been performing at a high level in recent weeks. He won the Japan Open in spectacular fashion and has maintained his level fairly high since then.
The Paris Masters opened with a strong win for him, and he is very likely to keep progressing. We’re not backing him just to win because the odds are a bit low.
We’re backing him to win 2-0, as there is a strong chance he will take it in two straightforward sets. Struff has generally been solid at times, but he hasn’t been too impressive lately.
Fils playing at home is certainly a big advantage, as he’ll have major support from the crowd. His current good form is just the cherry on top, and with the odds being as good as they are, we had to take it.
Mpetshi Perricard to defeat Khachanov @ 5/6
The reason we’re backing this one is because of how Khachanov played in the Vienna Open final. He wasn’t very impressive, especially on return, failing to counter Draper’s serve for a good chunk of that match.
The French giant has a massive serve, which has been firing on all cylinders lately, and it makes him very, very tough to play against. Winning in Basel further bolstered his confidence, and he’s enjoying some of the best weeks of his career that he’s ever had.
Khachanov is a former champion of this event, so he can certainly play well here, but we think that in this spot the Russian might be at a bit of a disadvantage.
It’s going to be a close match either way, but in two close tiebreaks, the serve of the French player will likely prevail and give him the edge in this matchup. Being at home will certainly boost him as well, so overall, with the form in mind and the odds, it makes sense to back Mpetshi Perricard here.
