THE Olympic football gets underway today and the big boys will be looking to lay down a marker in their opening group games.
It has been a brilliant summer so far for Spain with Luis de la Fuente's vibrant young side blowing away everyone to lift the trophy at Euro 2024.
But that success may effect their Olympic chances, given the likes of Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Nico Williams – who all qualify for the Under-23 side – won't play in back-to-back tournaments.
Santi Denia still has some talented players at his disposal though and it would be a major surprise if the Spanish slipped up in their opener against unfancied Uzbekistan.

France v USA Top Tips
The best game to watch on day one should come in Group A as favourites France take on the USA.
The hosts are favourites for the gold medal and coach Thierry Henry has bolstered his attack by calling up Jean Philippe Mateta and Alexandre Lacazette as overage players.
With Bayern Munich new boy Michael Oliseh also in the squad they have an impressive amount of firepower but the Americans will be a tough nut to crack.
The USA drew with Spain in a recent warm-up game and have a decent squad that's skippered by Venezia's Tanner Tessman, who has been linked with a move to Celtic. It could be a tight game and the half-time draw appeals at 6/4.
I'd imagine Mateta will lead the line after his stunning end to the season at Crystal Palace. The big man is 6/5 for anytime scorer and that looks worth a punt.
Argentina v Morocco Top Tips
Argentina also head into the Olympics on a high after retaining their Copa America title to make it a hat-trick of successive tournament wins.
Javier Mascherano is the man at the helm for the Under-23s and the former midfielder has a strong squad that's spearheaded by Manchester City's Julian Alvarez.
He has called up keeper Geronimo Rulli and stopper Nicolas Otamendi as overage players to add some experience and the Argentines should be too strong for Morocco in their Group B opener.
But the Moroccans will take heart from the fact Argentina lost to Guinea in their final warm-up game and they head into the Games as Under-23s champions of Africa.
Morocco drew 2-2 with Belgium in their last warm-up game so I like the evens available for over 2.5 goals in this one.

The Argentina match started at 2 and finished past 4pm after 15 minutes extra time was awarded when 7 or 8 would have been stretching it.
Or so they thought, as arguments ensued as the team’s left the pitch a var check was taking place and the goal was disallowed.
At 6pm after a lengthy warm up they came back on to play another 3 minutes with an almost empty stadium as fans thought the game had finished and it finally ended over 4 hours after the kick off.
