I've been round the houses to find a Bet of the Day for this evening on a tricky looking card.
I've finally settled on the Premier League match at Stamford Bridge between Chelsea and Norwich City where there's plenty at stake for Blues whereas Norwich's race has been run.
Chelsea are 1/8 to win tonight – one of the shortest prices of the season – so I've had to work hard to find a BetBuilder.
Eveything points to a comfortable Chelsea win. They'll be stinging after a 3-0 loss at Sheffield United at the weekend and will be aiming to capitalise on the reprieve they've been handed by Leicester and Man Utd's inability to close the gap for third place.
Norwich have been horrendous for a while now and looked like a team that had given up in their 4-0 loss to West Ham on Saturday that finally sealed their fate.
They've suffered 13 defeats in their 19 away matches but they've not taken too many hammerings, just four matches have seen them conceded more that two goals so don't get carried away on Chelsea goals.
Both teams are relatively well disciplined, Chelsea in particular who average 1.6 cards per game. Since the return to action they've been almost angelic with just 3 yellow cards in seven matches – in fact they've not been shown a card now in the last three games. Norwich can't quite match that but are still averaging less than 2 cards per game. Throw in the fact that Martin Atkinson (2.8 yellows per game) is the ref and we should expect the card count to come in under 4.
Finally, add in Chelsea corners to complete the BetBuilder. The Blues are second only to Man City in corners with 6.74 per match while Norwich conced more than anyone; 6.89 so Frank Lampard's men should cover six corners.
