DESPITE being comfortably mid-table Wigan's Championship future still remains in doubt going in to the final match of the season tonight.

As things stand their 12-point deduction would leave them in the relegation zone so it's imperative that they win tonight, then hope that Charlton and Luton both fail to win their respective games. Sheffield Wednesday's proposed points deduction could also save the Latics but Paul Cook's men know that this evening's match at home to Fulham is must-win.

Fulham's immediate future is out of their hands to an extent too. They also need to win and hope for defeats for West Brom and Brentford in order to unlikey secure an unlikely automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Both teams go in to the match in good form, Fulham are unbeaten in eight and Wigan, who recently beat Hull 8-0, have picked up 38 points from 60 since the start of the year and lost just once in their last 14.

It's the home side I'm going to focus on here. They've scored eighteen in their matches since the restart, although that figure is skewed by the Hull match, and have scored in 17 of their 22 matches at the DW Stadium.

For their mid-table position they rank highly in the corner count with 5.73 per match. We can add a similar count tonight to boost the BetBuilder odds
