We are slowly creeping towards the business end of the 2025 US Open, and after today's action, only eight players will remain in the men's and women's singles tournaments.
On the men's side, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic are already through to the quarter-finals, and Jannik Sinner will look to join them later on today.
On the women's side, Aryna Sabalenka continues to bulldoze her way through all of her opponents but yesterday did mark the end of the road for Elena Rybakina.
Ahead of play getting underway on day nine of the tournament, check our tips below.
US Open day 9 tips: Our picks
Alexander Bublik +2.5 vs Jannik Sinner (21/20)
Alexander Bublik's price of 15/2 to beat Jannik Sinner certainly feels a little long, and although I'm not advocating that as a bet, the fact you can get him at 21/20 to just win a set is remarkable value.
Yes, Sinner is the world number one and reigning champion, but as he proved against Denis Shapovalov last time out, you can rattle him and make things close.
Bublik is absolutely the type of player to throw everything he has at Sinner and the variety of his game has the potential to knock the Italian out of his usual robotic rhythm.
Bublik also has good recent form against Sinner, winning two of his last three matches against him.
Naomi Osaka to beat Coco Gauff (11/10)
Coco Gauff played her best match of the tournament last time out against Magdalena Frech, but the American's struggles in her first two rounds are difficult to ignore now that she is facing an elite opponent.
Gauff struggled with her serve immensely in rounds one and two, and she was broken nine times across both of those matches. She found more rhythm against Frech, but with Osaka on the other side of the court, could the pressure get to her?
Osaka herself looks as if she is getting closer to her top level. The four-time grand slam champion lost a set for the first time in her win over Kasatkina, but ultimately came through the match relatively comfortably.
Both women could be playing better tennis right now, but Osaka gets the nod purely because her serve is more reliable at this moment in time.
Felix Auger-Aliassime to beat Andrey Rublev (8/11)
Felix Auger-Aliassime reminded everyone why he was once tipped as a future Grand Slam champion in round three, dismantling Alexander Zverev in four sets.
The grit shown by the Canadian to come from a set down was impressive, particularly against an opponent ranked higher than everyone not named Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
Andrey Rublev, meanwhile, showed fragility in his five-set win over the unseeded Coleman Wong. If Wong had shown a little more maturity in the fifth set, it could easily have gone a different way.
While Rublev leads the H2H 7-1, that doesn't seem to be an issue for Auger-Aliassime. Zverev held a 6-1 advantage in their H2H prior to the third round, and look how that turned out.
