Another UFC fight night awaits fight fans world wide on Saturday, and as usual I've put together a preview of the main event which promises to be a decent viewing with Anthony Hernandez taking on Michel Pereria in the UFC Middleweight Division.

I've also included my normal side bet acca at the bottom of the article which includes all my selections for Saturday nights fights. Feel free to get involved in the comments section and let me know who you fancy to win on Saturday night!

Anthony Hernandez v Michel Pereria Preview

At UFC Fight Night on Saturday, middleweight prospects Anthony Hernandez and Michel Pereira, two of the division's most impressive rising talents, will face off, with the winner inching closer to having a pop at UFC gold. Firstly, here's the tale of the tape…

Pereira v Hernandez

I'm a huge fan of both of these fighters, in particular Anthony Hernandez who earned his UFC contract by coming through Dana Whites contender series in 2018. Riding a five-fight winning streak, Hernandez has secured three submission victories and a devastating TKO over Edmen Shahbazyan.

During this impressive run, he has amassed an astounding 25 takedowns, making him a real threat for those with average take down defence. With that said, Hernandez may find it hard when it comes to wrestling Pereria as Michel Pereria doesn't fall into that catergory of having bad take down defence, as he's currently operating at 94% when it comes to defending take downs.

Pereria is a good solid fighter, and he's great to watch as a fight fan. He's known for being a bit of a joker before fights, dancing and prancing around to ring side, but he's also akward to fight when it comes to standing toe to toe. Pereria is renowned for his wild, unpredictable techniques, from flying superman punches to wall-running kicks – unconventional moves that can prove surprisingly effective.

The Brazilian also comes here in the form of his life, winning his last 8 fights with his most recent being a first round submission over Ukraines Ihor Potiera. Notably Pereria isn't known for his ability to finish fights by striking, winning only twice within the distance by TKO/KO during his UFC career. With that said, he does have a decent ground game which is proven with his last two wins coming via subission.

How will the fight plan out?

I have serious concerns over Michel Pererias cardio, and I think the longer this fight goes then the more chance Anthony Hernandez has over coming out on top. Pereria is known for gassing out, and some of his wins via points you can argue he just about done enough and was lucky to see the end third as the tables were beginning to turn in some of those previous contests.

I also have concerns over Hernandez's tendacy to start slowly during his fights. I think he'll come into this bout in the hope that Michel emptys the tank early on, but he may be vulnerable if not fully swicthed on from the get go.

I think the Brazlian has a great chance of winning this, in particularly if Hernandez starts slowly and he takes full advantage. I don't expect this fight to go all five rounds either and neither fighter have experience when it comes to entering the championship rounds.

Although Hernandez shades favouritism for this fight at 8/11, it's not really a price I'd want to get involved in. I've decided to go a bit wild this time round with my main selection and backing Pereria to win via submission and under 3.5 rounds at 10/1 with Bet365 will be my main play.

Advised Bet – Michel Pereria to win via Submission and under 3.5 rounds. 10/1 – Bet365 Bet Builder
