View our expert's Goals Accumulator Tips & Predictions for Tuesday which features two both teams to score tips and two sides to score 2+ goals.
Our Goals Acca Tips are based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Mansfield Town vs Swindon Town – Both Teams to Score
Two sides who were knocked out of the FA Cup by higher ranked sides at the weekend will turn their attention back to league action, as Swindon travel to Field Mill to take on Mansfield.
Nigel Clough’s side come into this in great form, winning seven of their last eight in the league, whilst The Robins got their first win in five last time out, defeating fellow promotion rivals Northampton 5-2 at the County Ground.
The Stags have found the back of the net in nine of their last 10, scoring 17 goals, whilst Ben Garner’s side have only failed to score once on their travels this season.
Given that both sides have only managed to keep three clean sheets between them in each of their last 11 matches in League two, coupled up with both sides regularity in finding the back of the net, both teams to score appeals to me in Nottinghamshire.
Southampton vs Brentford – Both Teams to Score
After navigating their way past lower league opposition in the FA Cup at the weekend, Southampton and Brentford go head to head at St Mary’s in the Premier League.
The Saints come into this suffering just one defeat in their last six, whilst Thomas Frank’s side bounced back from successive defeats by beating Aston Villa last time out.
Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side have found the back of the net in 11 of their last 13, only failing to score at Anfield and The Emirates, whilst the Bees have only failed to score in four of their last 15 and all four of those came against sides in the top half.
Both sides have conceded in 29/38 of their combined matches this season and given both sides regularly find the back of the net, there’s a good chance we’ll see both score here.
Sunderland to Score 2+
Sunderland will look to leapfrog Rotherham and go top of League 1 as they play host to Lincoln City at the Stadium of Light.
Lee Johnson’s men conceded in stoppage time at the weekend to draw 3-3 away to fellow promotion candidates Wycombe, but the draw extended their unbeaten run to 10 matches in League 1.
It’s been a difficult season for Michael Appleton, with his side languishing in 18th, but they did earn their first win in eight at the weekend, as they defeated Oxford United 3-0 at home.
No side has collected more points at home in League 1 than Sunderland and with The Black Cats winning each of their last three in the North East, scoring 12, I’m backing them to score at least twice here, something they’ve done in 8/12 this season.
Forest Green to Score 2+
Forest Green will look to strengthen their grip at the top of League 2, as they play host to a struggling Colchester at The New Lawn.
Forest Green could only draw with Exeter last time out, but it’s now a total of 11 matches unbeaten in League 2 for Rovers, with Rob Edwards side winning seven of those.
Colchester come into off the back of successive defeats away to midtable Crawley and Walsall, with Hayden Mullins’s side winning just two of their last 10 in the league.
Forest Green are the highest scorers in league 2, scoring 45 times in their opening 22 fixtures and I’m backing them to score at least twice against a Colchester side that’s lost five of their last six away, conceding on 12 occasions.
