With no UEFA competitions this week, we have some midweek rounds across Europe’s top five leagues, and the ninth Serie A round kicks off on Tuesday with three exciting fixtures.
Three of the current top five will be in action, including both teams from the capital. Lazio travel to Sassuolo and AS Roma host Cagliari, as both sides are deeply involved in the title race.

Today’s Serie A betting tips & predictions
Sassuolo vs. Lazio (5:30pm)
Despite all the success this season, Lazio’s fans continue to boycott the home matches of the team. On the road, however, they have been packing every away sector, and their team has so far rewarded them with four wins out of four matches.
Sassuolo continue digging in the wrong direction after a strong season start, and enter this match with three defeats in four (D1). And while most defeats so far came on the road, it doesn’t change the fact that the visitors look far more appealing.
Following their best-ever season start, I believe the Eagles will be doing their best in every away match to make their fans happy. And right now, there is a clear gap between these two teams.
Sassuolo vs. Lazio top betting tip: Lazio to win, Over 2.5 goals
AS Roma vs. Cagliari (7:45pm)
AS Roma remains unbeaten, but they are far from having a perfect record. Three of their last five matches have ended in draws, which has left them four points behind the leaders.
Cagliari, meanwhile, have suffered their second consecutive defeat, but that does not alter the fact that they had a rather impressive start to the season. However, it was only a matter of time before the poor results came, given that they were relying entirely on their defence.
Only Parma have scored fewer goals than them, and that is clearly a problem. Given that Roma have the second-best defence in the league, I think it’s worth backing a clean sheet.

Torino vs. Como (7:45pm)
Torino are enjoying one of their strongest runs in many years, and now have the chance to win four matches in a row for the first time since 2015. The problem, however, is that so far they have faced teams at the bottom of the table, whereas Como are the exact opposite.
The Lariani are also coming off the back of three consecutive wins in all competitions. They beat Fiorentina, Manchester United, and Sassuolo, never looking under pressure at any point.
If we look back at last season, the two matches against Torino were also sensational. They won 5–1 away and subsequently repeated the feat at home with a 6–0 victory. The home side are in good form, but in my opinion their chances are slim right now.
