RETURN of French Ligue 2 tonight and it's always hard I feel after an international break. Clubs lose momentum and those struggling have a fortnight to regroup and see the return of injured players. There's one match I really like the look of though.
Niort v Chateauroux (7pm)
It's back to home comforts for Niort as they look to keep pace with the group of teams occupying the promotion places. They sit in 6th place, are only 7 points off the top and will see this as a good opportunity to rack up another three points at home against a Chateauroux side who have only scored 5 goals in their last 10 away matches.
Niort's home reads P7 W4 D2 L1 which is strong – they've kept 4 clean sheets in their last 5 games and this looks like another match they will win narrowly, especially given their strong defensive record and they are playing against a side who don't score many.
Niort's main threat will be striker Ande Dona N'Doh who already has 8 goals this season and is well on track to beat last season's haul of 16. He's scored in 4 of Niort home matches this season and is a good shout to net again.
Niort are in good shape at the moment and should make home advantage count.
