ANOTHER Thursday and another set of Europa League Qualifiers to get stuck into – 2nd legs always tend to be more open affairs for obvious reasons and there are quite a few games that look good for goals.
Molde v Zenit KO 6pm
Since knocking out Hibs, Molde have shipped 3 goals in each of their last three matches and that included a 3-1 first leg defeat in Russia last Thursday. They have it all to do tonight and know a Zenit goal all buts ends the tie. But they’ll need to attack to over turn this deficit. I can see them scoring at least once but that said, Zenit since they were hammered 4-0 in the last round first leg by Dinamo Minsk, they have been terrific and are more than capabale of grabbing another few goals here. Should be a good game with both sides contributing to goals.
Brondby v Genk KO 7.30pm
Another side with it all to do is Danish side Brondby who were blown away 5-2 in Belgium last week.. They are strong at home though and have only lost once in their last 11 Europa League matches (I’m sure JohnB will remember it well). They need to go for it and they could well play into Genk’s hands, a side who are absoltuely flying at the moement on all fronts. They are top of their domestic league and have won nine of their 10 competitive games this season (drew the other). Again expecting goals here from both sides
Recommended Bet
- Back over 2.5 match goals double 6/4 (Bet365) (NAP)
Skybet Special – I'll be on the usual 1st half goals and over 1.5 match goals in the later kick offs today but one bet I really like the look of is total match goals accross the 9 games kicking off from 7pm.
These include the Brondy, Bordeaux, Celtic, Seville and Rapid Vienna matches, all of which should see goals to get us on our way to the 25+ goals being offered – it's less than 3 goals per game and I fully expect some of these games to see 4-5 goals
- Back 25+ goals to be scored 4/5
- Back 27+ goals to be scored 11/8
