OFF to Dumfries today to watch the famous Perth St Johnstone play QOS in the Cup so getting my tips up early.

Dunfermline v Hearts (3pm)

League Cup action from East End Park as the Scottish Premiership leaders make the short journey to Fife to play a Dunfermline side who suffered their first defeat of the season at home to fellow title chasers Ross County last week.

The Jambos inflicted another defeat last week on Celtic and look like they have the right mix of youth, experience and plenty of quality going forward in Naismith, Lafferty, MacLean and Ikpeazu. Been really impressed with them this season so far and they will be roared on a big travelling support.

This should be an entertaining game and we could well see both sides score but there is an air of swagger about Hearts at the moment and they look good value to progress and notch another win.
