EUROPA LEAGUE qualifiers tonight – always makes me sad as 5 out of the last 6 years I'd have been away somewhere in Europe watching the Famous Perth St Johnstone.
It's Hibs and Rangers that are flying the flag for Scotland tonight and both should win their respective home ties with minimal fuss. Yes it's their first competitive match but they should still be too good for the minnows from Macedonia and the Faroes.
The bookies certainly think so and have priced them up ridiculously short but there is still decent bets to be had on handicaps and goal markets.
Rangers v Shkupi (7.45pm)
Will be another big crowd for Steven Gerrard’s first competetive game in charge – things look on the up at Ibrox and there will be a real positivity around the place. They should cruise this game and take a comfortable lead into the away leg next week.
It may have only been a fredindly but there was a lot to like about their 6-0 win over Bury at the weekend (Think @hullshaker was in goal), they looked good and I can see them scoring some more goals tonight.
- Back Rangers over 3.5 team goals
- (19-20, Coral)
In the other game Hibs should comfortbaly see off Runavik – I’m with Johnb and Mr F om Kamberi, in fact I think I started raving about him last season even before JohnB did, haha. He’s the signing of the summer and will hit 20+ goals for Hibs this season, expecting him to get on the scoresheet tonight.
Over 2.5 goals 4 fold (all 7.45pm)
- Cliftonville v Nordsjaelland
- Hibs v Runavik
- Lech Poznan v Kapan
- Rangers v Shkupi
- (9-4, bet365)
