ANOTHER big day in the SPFL and I’m going to focus on the match at Easter Road as Hibernain entertain Celtic
Hibernian v Celtic ( KO 12.30)
The visitors probably produced their most clinical display of the season last week as they hammered high flying Kilmarnock 5-1.
The Ayrshire men have since returned to the top of the league so I’d expect Celtic to send out another message to the league that that nobody will challenge their dominance.
Hibs have been really poor for an unacceptable length of time. No wins in 7 but they did finally get back to winning ways last week as they edged it against a stuffy Hamilton side.
This match over the last few seasons has been a goals frenzy – the last 7 meetings have seen 27 goals scored with 6 of those games going 2.5 goals.
Interesting stat as Sean has also pointed out, Hibs have scored 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 games against Celtic which is impressive ( albeit they only won one of those games)
Hibs usually raise their game for a Celtic and despite Hibs hardly firing on all cylinders I fancy them to get on the score sheet today.
That should lead us to goals and the form Celtic are in they could easily land this themselves.
Should be an entertaining game with plenty of goals.
Recommended Bet
- Over 2.5 goals
- 41/50 (Marathonbet) (NAP)

Liverpool v Manchester United (KO 4pm)
Big game of the day in England and its certainly and intriguing match
There is no dispute that Liverpool are a better side this season than United but like Mr F and others I'm extremely surprised the bookies have priced them up as short as 1/2
This gives us great value in backing Man United goals and whilst I don't expect Man U to win I think its fair to assume they are more than capable of putting in a good performance and getting a goal
Goal time market appeals – we know how poor United are but they still have good players and there is no way they should be 11/2.
Recommended Bet
- Man United goal before 76 mins
- 5/6 (Bet365)
