The Saint Greg Browning's Tips: Clyde to sail to victory
GregBrowningTips

IT'S derby day in Scotland with some mouthwatering games throughout the leagues. Rangers v Celtic takes centre stage and I fancy a red card in that match but it's League Two my Nap comes from as promotion-chasing Clyde host struggling Queen's Park.

Clyde v Queen's Park (3pm)

The hosts come into this off the back of a 7-match unbeaten run (4 wins, 3 draws) which keeps them still in with a shout of catching leaders Edinburgh City.

Their two star men John Rankin and David Goodwillie have certainly played their part with 7 goals between the pair in their last 4 games. Rankin is far from a goalscorer but has netted in his last 4 games and will be confident of making it 5 in 5.

Both players undoubtedly could and should be playing at a higher level and it's a major coup for Clyde having them in their ranks.

Queen's Park make the short trip to Broadwood in dismal form. Five defeats and 1 draw from their last 6 games, scoring just 2 goals in the process.

Manager Mark Roberts enjoyed a great start when he took over with 5 wins and a draw but that will feel like a lifetime ago as they look like they will struggle at the bottom end of the table. Their only saving grace is Albion Rovers are far worse than them and will be relegated.

This is must win for Clyde and with these two coming into this in completely contrasting form, it's no surprise Clyde are as short as 1-2.

A market I like though is team to win and over 1.5 match goals and I'm taking Clyde to win this match comfortably.

Recommended Bet

  • Clyde to win and over 1.5 match goals
  • 17/20 (Coral) (NAP)

Rangers v Celtic (12.30pm)

I posted Allan McGregor to be booked on here in the last Old Firm game at a massive 40/1 and he duly obliged but the bookies are running scared this time and have him priced at a pathetic 14/1. That's terrible odds for a goalkeeper so I'm just going to back a red card in the match.

Plenty of suspects from both sides to be carded and with it being such a crucial game I wouldn't be surprised if the card count was higher than normal.

Recommended Bet

  • A red card to be shown
  • 7/4 (Skybet)

Hibernian v Hearts (5.30pm)

It's the Edinburgh derby in the teatime kick-off and good luck finding a winner out of this.

Both have been far from impressive the last few months but if I had to pick a winner I'd side with Hibs given their tendency to produce in a big games and Hearts being hopeless away from Tynecastle.

Young Ryan Porteous is starting to rack up the bookings and the tough-tackling Hibs defender looks a good shout to get his name in the referee's notepad. (He's already been booked 5 times this season).

I was on him at 9/4 to be booked in the Rangers came and he did as he completely wiped out Morelos. Backing him again.

Recommended Bet

  • Ryan Porteous to be booked
  • 11/8 (Bet365)
