THERE'S a match from Spain on Monday that has caught my eye as relegation-threatened  Athletic Bilbao travel along the coast to fellow strugglers Celta Vigo.

The Basque side are literally trying to fight their way out of trouble with their aggressive style of play resulting in plenty of cards. It's the cards market I like the look of here.

Celta Vigo v Athletic Bilbao (7.45pm)

La Liga certainly isn't shy of a booking or 8 and this match has caught my eye for a high card count.

No-nonsense Bilbao lead the way in the card count in La Liga with 59 yellow cards and 3 reds from their 17 league games. That's a ridiculous number of cards for a team to have collected after just 17 games. (3.8 cards per match)

Eight of their players have received 4 or more bookings this season and their style of play will ensure there are plenty of more bookings to come from this team come the end of the season.

Their matches v Celta Vigo aren't tame affairs – the last 6 matches have seen 36 cards with Bilbao receiving 3 or more cards in 9 of their last 10 visits here.

A brief look at the referee for this match and he has averaged over 5 cards per match this season  – it should be another fierce affair.

The bookies are well aware of this though and are taking no changes having set markets at over 5.5 cards. That should land at 4-5 but going to go with the following.

Recommended Bets

  • Both teams to have at least one corner each half and at least one booking each
  • 10/11 (Sky Bet request a bet) (NAP)
  • Athletic Bilbao -1 card
  • 5/4 (Bet365)

****************************************************************************************************

There are two matches from the Development leagues to keep an eye out for

Burnley u23  v Sheffield Wednesday u23 (2pm)

  • Over 3.5 match goals
  • 10/11 (Bet365)

Airdrie Reserves v Ayr Reserves (7.30pm)

Over 3.5 match goals  (awaiting prices)
