MFT_TopTips_Safe_07

What a day for our racing tipsters as both Rizzel and Cairnzy's main tip, Coach Rambler, stormed clear to win the 2023 Grand National!

It was another victory for Scottish trainer Lucinda Russell, going off at 8/1, to add to her 2017 winner, One For Arthur.

Both Rizzel and Cairnzy talked up the horse in their previews and it duly obliged for its syndicate of owners. Well done if you backed it or one of our tipsters' other horses that placed in the race.  Fantastic stuff 👏

Despite holding a three-point lead with eight matches to go the bookies rate Arsenal second favourite to win the title.

Manchester City are piling on the pressure week after week but so far the Gunners have responded. Although last week's 2-2 draw at Anfield might have felt like points dropped it's kept Mikel Arteta's side's noses in front and there's no doubt he'll be looking ahead to a title showdown at the Etihad in 10 days' time.

It's crucial that Arsenal go there still ahead of City so a win today at West Ham and another against Southampton next week are imperative.

A win at Fulham last week bought Davie Moyes some breathing space but they'll need a few more to avoid being drawn into a relegation battle. They're a big price at 11/2 today but this fixture hasn't been kind to them, they've won only two of their last 31 games in all competitions against Arsenal.

The Gunners at 8/15 looks too short on it's own but could be doubled with Manchester United to win at Nottingham Forest for a straightforward 8/5 double.

United looked to be cruising into the semi-finals of the Europa League in midweek but a second-half collapse saw them relinquish a two-goal lead and will have added some doubts in punters' minds ahead of their trip to Forest this afternoon.

Marcus Rashford will sit this one out again and United will be without Lisandro Martinez for the rest of the season but they should still have enough quality to take all three points against a struggling Forest who have a lengthy injury list of their own.

Steve Cooper could only be without up to 11 players this afternoon so look up against it versus a club that they've only beaten once in the Premier League, back when Stan Collymore and Stuart Pearce were the scorers.

A United win looks safe enough for the Sunday accas at 7/10 but you can add them to score two or more to make it a 20/21 Bet Builder (United have scored at least three goals in each of their last six league meetings with Forest).

Celtic have scored 15 without reply in their last five encounters with Kilmarnock so the signs aren't good for Derek McInnes' men at Rugby Park today.

The Hoops are just a couple of wins from securing a second successive title and their 11th in 12 years as their dominance of Scottish football continues. There won't be any relenting under Ange Postecoglou as proven by their current run of 23 Premiership matches without defeat.

Celtic/Celtic has delivered on the half-time/full-time market in 19 of the Bhoys' 31 matches so far this season and at 8/13 that's not the worst shout today. The Hoops have led at half-time in 20 of their games, throw in over 2 corners in the first 45 and we have a nice looking 13/10 BetBuilder.

    Getafe v Barca 315pm
    Barca haven’t scored in their last 2 games.. Getafe are only 3 points off the relegation zone so I’d be confident that’ll end today. On these;
    Barca 1+ FH, 2+ TG 13/10 Nap
    Barca 2+ FHG 19/4

Also on 2+ Barca goals 19/20 in a double with Valencia to score 2/9 in their 6 pointer against Seville who should have an eye on Thursday.. the double pays 1.38/1 NB

I’d be a bit wary of backing Man Utd today not saying they won’t win but the price on them to win isn’t what it should be, could be down to their defensive injuries and the fact Forest are fighting for their lives, keep stakes sensible.

    Odd vs Brann

    Bet builder @ 13/10 (bet365) Nap
    Brann over 1.5tgs
    Brann over 4.5 team corners

Sticking with one of the form teams in Norway, they play an Odd side who blow hot and cold and who played Stabaek (the other promoted team) in their first game of the league.

Stabaek aren’t as good an outfit as Brann going forward but still managed 15 attempts on goal, 9 shots on target and 5 corners, albeit at home. If any team in this league give Brann those kind of chances they are more than capable of punishing them for it. Let’s hope they do today! Not overly impressed with Odd and their preseason work either.

The odds on this are good considering the form Brann are in. They dropped a fair bit in the hours before the game last week.

    Good luck 🤞

Painfully close to a full house last night but the 16/1, 10/3 and 11/10 were all undone by the lack of a goal by shysters Goias who now propel themselves to the top of the sh*te-shelf 😔

It took a while to clean up the site (again) this morning after our resident moron returned under another name and posted around 15 random posts between the hours of 2am and 3am.

It’s really difficult to contend with that and the comment made around ‘admin allowing 20 of his posts without deleting them’ is a little unfair – we have a small admin team and we each have young families ourselves so cannot be there at daft o clock every time the hard of thinking turn up.

Advice as always is just to ignore and do not let an individual divide what we have on the site as I stronly believe that is his intention.

Thanks everyone for all that you bring to the pages – it may not be perfect but it still remains a rare beast in its community spirit which was always Paul’s aim.

Good luck today with all of your bets 👍

I guess the buzz at posting abuse is getting heated replies and securing a hostile reply feeds whatever trolls seek to fill a void in their lives.

If people down tools and change their posting patterns the trolls have succeeded.
I have to admit I have taken the bait before but I guess like all things in life you learn by your mistakes.

I will say the one a few weeks ago when he wrote the story about my supposed family pleading with people here to help me with my addiction I found amusing, and a few replies actually believed him which was more amusing, not funny I know suppose but there you go ….

Obviously the topic has been brought up before but how feasible is it to implement some sort of verification system? Even something as simple as setting up an email address and doing it similar to the bookies where you’d email a picture of your ID and a selfie along with your username to get verified. Obviously would be a bit of effort for the admins but surely in the long term less effort than having to police someone with too much time on their hands and infinite accounts at their disposal just a thought

I will say right now that man city will win the treble this season. But the odds that are being given are not worth the bet. So even the bookies think the same. Arsenal blew it in the last wk.

Yes they are looking good for the treble i won,t dispute that, but in order to obtain that treble / league title will it not be based on their performances for the remainder of the season as opposed to what opinions are ??.

Surely thats what the joys of competitive sport are ?? we don,t know till we get out there..

  35. Avatar of mark edley

I think if Arsenal are to stand any chance then Arteta needs to change the mindset of the players, complacency is the word, they thought they had already done it and so did the fans but the thing is they have never challenged a team like City in a race before, as Liverpool will testify it’s not an easy ask.

That’s not really true is it, i never said that at all, i said i was going to have a punt on them not to finish in the top four with the form and fixtures they had at the time, at no time did i say they wouldn’t finish in the top four.

  36. Avatar of alex walker

When your challenging for the title and your winning games 2 nil you should be winning them games. Both games they played both teams off the park at 2 nil up. City have been in this position for yrs and only liverpool have beat them to the league title. This arsenal team will never have had a better chance before last wks game at anfield to win the title. Sorry but they have blown it. Plus your lucky to get nearly 2/1 on city to win the treble.
