IT’S slim pickings for punters in the SPFL this weekend with most of the action saved until Monday.
But we still have some decent games in League One and Two today as 2022 draws to a close.
Alloa let me down last weekend when I tipped them to beat Clyde as they could only draw 2-2.
That made it three games without a win for the Wasps so they need to get back on track when Kelty Hearts come calling today.
The Fifers suffered derby despair last week as they lost 2-1 to league leaders Dunfermline but Kelty had been in good form before that, going three games unbeaten.
BTTS has come up in their last three games while that bet has also landed in seven of Alloa’s last eight.
So it bodes well for goals today with BTTS paying just 4/6 at McBookie while over 2.5 strikes pays 4/5.
It ended 3-1 to the Wasps when these sides last faced off so I’m backing over 3.5 goals at 2/1 (McBookie).
Over 1.5 first-half goals also appeals and that pays 7/4 with Betfred.
Kallum Higginbotham has found his shooting boots in recent weeks, netting two times in his last three Kelty outings.
He’s 7/4 with McBookie for anytime scorer which could be worth a punt.
The other League One clash today sees Queen of the South host a Clyde side who are showing signs of life under new boss Jim Duffy.
The Bully Wee’s only win in their last 13 games came against Elgin in the SPFL Trust Trophy on penalties after a 0-0 draw.
But four of their last six matches have ended level after 90 minutes with Duffy making them a harder team to beat.
Inconsistency has been the biggest problem for Queens this season and they are looking to bounce back from successive defeats.
We’ve seen 16 goals in their last three matches so that suggests and open match today. You have to go for over 3.5 goals to find decent odds and that pays 7/4 with Paddy Power.
The scorer markets offer better value and Ruari Paton is 5/4 for anytime scorer with McBookie after netting 15 times already this term.
The top two are both in League Two action with Dumbarton visiting Albion Rovers and Stirling Albion hosting Stenhousemuir.
The form book suggests wins for both and a double pays a best 293/100 with BoyleSports.
Goal machine Dale Carrick has drawn a blank in four of his last five games for the Binos.
But he still has 16 for the season so I’m backing the former Hearts striker for another goal today at evens with McBookie.
