IT seems an age ago since I posted my World Snooker preview.
I picked three of the four semi-finalists – and no prizes for guessing the player I left out.
My outright tip was John Higgins at 11-2 and I predicted Mark Williams and Ding Junhui to reach the last four.
But like many others I didn't see wonderboy Judd Trump being in the mix but what a breath of fresh air he has been at The Crucible.
The Bristol cue star, an 80-1 chance at the start of the week, faces the might of Higgins and it should be a two-day cracker.
Higgins is hot favourite at 8-13 with William Hill but Trump, 13-8 at Paddy Power and Chandler, can't be ruled out.
The man's a potting machine who has been compared to Jimmy White but let's hope for his sake the comparisons ends there as White never won the title.
Having backed Higgins from the start I'll stand by him with a saver on Trump plus 4.5 frames at 1-2 with Paddy Power.
Trump is also a good shout for highest break of the final at 11-8 with sportingbet against Higgins (4-6, Hills).
Higgins had the tougher Saturday, playing two sessions to Trump's one and there is every chance the Englishman will get off to the better start.
Take him at 5-2 with Skybet to win the first session. Higgins is 6-4 at sportingbet and the tie pays 5-2 at Skybet.
