SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of Rangers and Liverpool's hotly-anticipated Champions League showdown at Ibrox on Wednesday night.
Rangers vs Liverpool (Wednesday, 20:00)
Liverpool will be targeting a quick-fire double over Rangers in the Champions League when they make the trip north to Ibrox on Wednesday night.
The Reds recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory over their cross-border rivals last Tuesday night and they are red-hot favourites to claim top honours in Glasgow at a general 4/11.
I've already penned a separate match preview on this mammoth midweek meeting but I’ve since identified an alternative angle of attack that makes appeal..
Dipping into PaddyPower’s team corner market, we can get some 8/5 on Rangers to hit Over 3.5 Corners and that looks a little too big to ignore.
While Rangers will be up against the odds on Wednesday night, the Ibrox return match is likely to be a very different proposition for Liverpool.
Not only do Rangers need a result on Wednesday night, but the hosts will be looking to put on a performance for what will be a feverent home crowd.
Granted, star-studded Liverpool are expected to dominate possession for long stages in this match, but Giovanni van Bronckhorst will certainly be looking for his team to improve in an attacking sense.
What’s more, Rangers are traditionally strong corner performers when operating at their Govan base, having covered the 4+ flag kick line in all but one of their home matches this season so far.
It’s also worth pointing out the Scottish giants hit a minimum of four corners in all but one of their Europa League home games on route to last season’s final, with the only exception coming in a game against Borussia Dortmund, on a night where the onus to attack fell on the visitors.
With this in mind, and considering that Rangers could well find themselves chasing the game on Wednesday night, backing the Light Blues to deliver Over 3.5 Corners stands out at 8/5 (PaddyPower).
