SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of England’s World Cup qualifier with Andorra on Saturday evening.
England vs Andorra (Saturday, 17:00)
England will be aiming to make it four wins from four in World Cup qualification when they welcome Andorra to Villa Park on Saturday evening.
Thomas Tuchel’s team bagged home wins over both Albania and Latvia before winning 1-0 away at Andorra back in June.
As for the visitors, they are anchored at the foot of Group K after coming away empty-handed from each of their four matches so far.
This is understandably a complete mismatch as far as the bookmakers are concerned, with an England success as short as 1/33 and as big as 1/500 in some places.
However, I’ve identified an alternative angle of attack in the team cards market that I’m more than happy to propose a play on.
England have been priced up at 4/5 on Sky Bet to come through their latest qualifier without receiving a card, and that looks well worthy of support given that the hosts should dominate possession at Villa Park on Saturday evening.
Admittedly, this may not be the most comfortable of selections to get behind, however there is more than enough evidence to suggest that it offers some value.
As mentioned, England have already come up against Andorra during the current qualification campaign, with Tuchel’s side not receiving a single card during that particular contest.
What’s more, the Three Lions also delivered a card count of zero when defeating Albania 2-0 at Wembley earlier this year
On top of all that, England didn’t collect a single booking when overcoming Finland both home and away during the most recent edition of the Nations League.
It’s also worth noting that Albania navigated their Group K qualifier at home to Andorra back in March without being shown any bookings.
So with all that in mind, I’m prepared to back star-studded England to avoid any cards on their way to claiming what should be a comfortable home success Saturday evening.
