IT's matchday two in the Scottish Premiership this weekend and I'm going to have a look at two of Saturday's fixtures for the purposes of putting up a cross-match Bet Builder.

Hamilton vs Ross County (15.00)

Two teams that have been widely tipped to struggle this term go toe-to-toe at the Fountain of Youth Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Hamilton host Ross County.

Hamilton were hammered 5-1 by Celtic last Sunday while Ross County made a winning start to their season when edging out Motherwell 1-0 on Monday night.

Indeed, Accies shipped five last time out, however, Brian Rice's men fought bravely at Celtic Park on an afternoon where they got on the scoresheet and racked up an eye-catching eight corner kicks.

With that in mind I'm more than happy to back Hamilton to hit a couple of corners against Stuart Kettlewell's side, however, at the other end of the park Accies young defence will do well to shutout the Staggies.

County will take confidence from their opening weekend success and in Ross Stewart they have a striker who has the tools to trouble Rice's leaky backline.

Therefore, I'm going to combine Ross County to score alongside two or more Hamilton corners for the first half of the Bet Builder double.

Livingston vs Hibernian (15.00)

Hibs hit the ground running last weekend and they will be looking to pick up where they left off when they lock horns with Livingston on Saturday.

Jack Ross' appointment, coupled with some astute recruitment, has been a game-changing factor in Hibs' revival and the Leith side will be looking to continue their momentum at the Tony Macaroni this weekend.

Having said that, the capital club can expect a stern test from a Livingston side who lost just two of their 14 home games last season and avoided defeat in each of their three tussles with Hibs.

Gary Holt's troops will be hurting after last Saturday's 1-0 defeat away at St Mirren and with that in mind as well as Hibs'ropey road record last season I'm going to steer clear of the outright markets for this one.

However, given that Hibs boss Ross has the likes of Christian Doidge, Kevin Nisbet and Marin Boyle at his disposal and with Scott Allan supplying the ammunition, I do fancy the visitors to get on the scoresheet on Saturday.

With that in mind, I'm going to back Hibs to score and add at least two Hibs corners to the the second half of the Bet Builder double to give us a nice looking 10/11 shot with Bet 365.

Recommended Bet

  • Ross County 1+ Goal & Hamilton 2+ Corners
  • Hibs 1+ Goal & Hibs 2+ Corners
  • Bet Builder Double – 10/11 (Bet 365)
